Why is the left rear slow bump fixed in all the cars? Is it supposed to be like that?

Thank you so very much for this. IMO this is not so much a mod as it is a automotive racing history lesson. That's being replayed. Brilliant stuff. Looking forward to 1.0. Thanks once again.

Yeah, I remember going to the 1988 Detroit Grand Prix, this track was originally in Downtown through the streets and I can still hear those screaming engines echoing through the tall buildings. What a time.

Ah, beat me to it. Seems like an oversight?

Plus, there's an extra field where power & coast are that is 'changeable', but it has no title.
Not sure what it is for? "Pump"?

I've had a great time playing this on one of my rare returns to rF2. I don't know whether power sliding round the Ostkurve at Hockenheim is realistic but it's great fun! Thanks Carrera4 :)

rF2 crashed towards the end of my race against the AI - no idea what caused it but I've never seen that before.

Unfortunately this is not a very good mod as far as replicating the 1988 season is concerned. Obviously, as others have mentioned, the AI lacks common knowledge on many circuits and needs a lot more fine tuning. Also, you simply cannot ignore the lack of speed. Compared to real life, these versions of the cars are somewhere around 6-8 seconds slower. Oh, and these things plow like a dump truck and have little setup options to fix that.

    Oh well...

Really nice, love the handling. Only issue is when braking my drivers head like goes below dashboard. I tried setting cockpit vibration multi's to 0 in player file but it made no difference. Nobody else with this issue?

Try to set the slider of headphysic in game under controls to 10%
    should make a big difference:cool:

Were the top speeds of these cars really so vastly mismatched? For example, at Spa the slower cars are only getting up to 285 km/h, whereas the mclarens are up to 329!

I think my crashing is caused by texture memory. If I do Ctrl/F twice to get the graph top left then with Hockenheim and Spa anyway the green goes more than 100%. Non-1998 tracks don't do that.

As for the driver submarining under braking, I just raised the seat.

the power of engines are correct ,u can check with motec.
and the drag is slightly different on cars, ofc McLaren is best of both.
i suppose needs some better gears setup for the ai. i will check later.

hmm, dont think is problem of texture, bcs the only high res are road and grass texture.
isi tracks are much heavier in term of textures. u can open the mas for checking.
sorry dont have idea what cause ur problem for now.

Hi Carrera.4 -- This would make Ken Tyrell very pleased, but I wanted to report that Julian Bailey in the Tyrell tends to out-qualify Senna and Prost at Spa! And as someone noted above, all the AI cars struggle as they approach Blanchimont and at the entrance and exit to the Bus Stop chicane.

In any event, thanks so much for the mod.
