    Hi all!

I have a weird issue with the steamworkshop this morning. All my subscribed items (mainly ISI tracks) have synchronized with empty files (0 bytes) so I can't run my favourite tracks anymore, since they have disappeared from my "installed" folder ... Am I doing something wrong?

    Thanks in advance.

Where are you seeing empty files?

Directly in the workshop. There is a small description with the file size and I can read 0,00 bytes for some of them. I can unsubscribe and then subscribe the item even after a steam restart, the download starts and closes soon after. I really don't understand what's wrong. Sorry.

EDIT: here is a screenshot for example

"File Size 0.000 MB" in the description is normal, *most ISI and 3PA rfcmps are already "cached" in the rFactor2 base install - Meaning you already have the files in your rFactor2 directory in a folder called "cache", this was all part of the original download when your first installed rFactor2. So if you sub or unsub from any of these items, it will only install or uninstall them, they won't actually have to re-download. All other third party content in Workshop will show a real file size.

About the content missing, did you by any chance move the "cache" folder or delete anything recently?

Thanks for the support Christopher. In fact, I realized that the "cache" folder is missing in my base install :( A bad move from me for sure. Is there any way to fix the situation?

You'll need to Verify Integrity of Game Cache

It should re-download the missing cache files again after repair.

The cache files are your local copies of all ISI content so that when/if you want to install them you don't need to download them. You can delete them, but the next time you update the game through steam it will redownload them. So they're the equivalent of all the .rfcmp files you could download and store for a non-steam install, except in this case you don't have a choice. Many discussions on this elsewhere.

    Thanks Lazza
normally in non-steam install, I deleted all,
because it would be easy to download again if it was really necessary
But for now really are only 11.4gb, but unnecessary.
