I've created a new thread for the 1969 Formula 5000 cars as I can't edit the title of the other thread. Heat bubble is present, but ugly. I've never looked into how to configure it, but it's like you're trying to use the full range from no heat (off-throttle) to full heat. If that can be adjusted to some heat (off-throttle) to middle heat, it might look better. How ISI configured Formula Renault seems to work well. AI is better, but still understeers into the dirt at the final downhill turn at Lime Rock. They drive nicely at Monza (apart from some oversteer slides/entanglements) and passable at Portugal. Shall I see if I can finesse them a bit?
I can hear tires and brakes very good now. Thank you for update. UPD. Maybe one small thing more - cars are wandering left-right on the straight and on braking by themselves a bit too much.
AI on Lime Rock... only thing that worked consistently was to set front & rear wings to 4 and increase front rebound to 9 (to keep rear planted during throttle lift). Seems to work for all models. Also worked for Monte Carlo. Those are the only two tracks I've seen trouble so far.
I'm using the following, ai strength 100%, ai aggression 25%, ai limiter 5%. I don't want to increase the wings to to 4 as that will slow the cars at fast tracks. I will edit some ai settings in the hdv files and see what improvements can be made. Do people use devmode? if you do I can post just the hdv files for testing.
Totally understand not changing default for all tracks. Consider it a more general suggestion for people to take on their own, to assign AI setups at specific tracks if they discover problems. I didn't see anything in the HDV that seemed like it would help AI more than you've already done. More likely in the RCD (see Howston Dissenter's rcd for examples).
Great work! feeling is going better. One small sugesstion: Why not using the very good looking steering wheel & moving arms from ISI´s Eve? Maybe changing gloves and suits colors. Any news about a 1976 F2 or CanAM for RF2? Many thanks
I didn't want to use exactly the same models as from ISI cars because it would look the same as an ISI car, I thought that it would be better to have something different. Gloves and suit colours can be easily changed (and some suit colours have been changed) but in the late 60s and early 70s most driver suits were white. There is a lot of work required creating multi-car mods and finding or making a suitable tyre, although I think that there is an ISI early 70s canam tyre available. I have made some more canam models but at the moment it is not a priority to get them into rF2 more likely would be 1973 Formula Fords. An earlier (than 1976) F2/FA/F3 mod is also a possibility but it is so much work and time.
I feel the car better now, tyres and steering feels good, but not suspension, front suspension dont seems to work as expected specially on hard braking.
Version 0.8 SteeringFFBMult is no longer used by rFactor2 so has been removed from the upgrades.ini files.
