Hi , ok for EVER I have been hosting from my PC with the ded with no issues ..all the way back to rf1 same thing never ever had a prob .. I'm threw a router ,same as always, all the ips are set proper ,ports open and its worked like a charm FOR EVER .. It was working fine right up to the 1084 update .. now I get a "Server Connection Failed" message ..???? what changed ? where do I need to look ?? did some ports get changed?? could this have something to do with it > Stopped overwriting your own Unsportsmanslike Driving multiplayer setting when you joined a server (should only affect the current setting). This would only matter if you used the same Player.JSON for both servers and clients. it does use same player.json when hosting/playing from same box .. .. Maybe try updating the firmware on the router, it drove me nuts one time, i couldn't get into my server no matter what, and that fixed it Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
Thanks Florecalin ! Firmware is up to date .. This all happened after yesterday when the 1084 came out .. I was hosting the day before .. also my other sims are working fine still hosting from same pc ectt... Ive searched but cant find anything to point me where else to look ..??? ;-(
1080 was my last build .. I used auto update ,raced in a league race yesterday with 1084 (not on my server its only for team practice) everything worked fine on our official ded remote server .. I also just now ran the light installer over the top of 1084 just to make sure everything go installed .. same result server launches fine ,shows up in matchmaker but I cant join it .. I might add I did not have any issues with 1080 , I never had the invalid PW & get mod worked for me as well with 1080 on our official servers .. Thanks !!
