At the moment I'm using only a few mod tracks beside some of the ISI originals and 3PAs, namely Essington Park, Mosport Park and the Virtua LM tracks Sebring & Mid Ohio. I've tried some more, but having driven a lot of laser scanned tracks in iRacing and AC, some of the mods seem really dreadful in comparison. As I like a well done track (accuracy, AIW & physics wise of course and maybe graphics wise because it adds to my immersion to have something nice to look at), which tracks do you like to use outlide of league racing? I'm looking to expand my track library, so I would really appreciate a suggenstion or two, as for me personally, tracks are very important to the enjoyment of a racing sim.
I too, like the Virtua_LM tracks...especially Mid-Ohio with chicane. There is a nice flowing version of Road America but I'm not sure who produced it. Sometimes it's like "pulling teeth" getting guys to put a version number inside the download folder.
Without a doubt, you should include Oregon Raceway Park in that collection. Absolutely great with slower cars & street cars.
Oulton Park is great but the AI is slow. Croft + Poznan, nice tracks and the AI is good. Also Zandvoort but you can see it's in beta stage and the default AI is also very slow, I made it faster for personal usage. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZafhMCkOpto
Mosport by shiet Lester GP by 32_pixels Sebring + Mid-Ohio by Virtua_LM Oregon Raceway Park by Alessio and SlowMotion (surprisingly) Motorsports Ranch Hockenheimring by Tommy 78 Putnam Park and PĆ³znan by feels3 Certainly next on the list will be Road America by Alex Coutie (SimHQ) with the David (I think it's David) texture update.
Thanks for your suggestions, there are some real gems there. Mosport is a dream to drive, also Poznan, Putnam & Croft are great. Hockenheim and Outlon Park are quite good too, though I don't really like the current Hockenheim layout very much. It's become very generic, but that's the track of course, the mod is still good fun. The others I have downloaded, but could not test yet.
Neva Ring is a blast, Russian track that IIRC was demolished years back. Stellar track, really fast, really dangerous and has an awesome flow. Eltsu by Sergio, brilliant historic track. I can highly recommend Highlands MP too. Gingerman Raceway, tight and fun (and pretty damn gorgeous) club track. Anything by Virtua_LM, goes without saying. Route 666, it needs to be experienced, such an awesome piece of road. Symmons Plains Raceway rocks as well.
Kyalami alpha lacks " accuracy & AIW & physics & graphics " Yet is one of the best tracks I have driven because of how it exploits the Historic chassis. Tell the truth I am not too taken away by VLM in rF2........ YET
Symmons Plains and Neva Ring I've tried. I like Symmons Plains, but Neva seemed a bit bumpy to me, as if the physics mesh was quite low-res... at least with the version available on the Steam Workshop as "St. Petersburg 2006". Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Gingerman a paymod by URD?
Yes, it is sold by URD. James Mabe is the author. He has permissions for the name from the track owner and had access to all sorts of material.
Surprised there's been more than a dozen replies and yet nobody has mentioned Oran Park. Also worthy of checking out: * Autodrom Most * Atlantic Road * BRNO * Nordschleiffe * Philip Island * The Shojo * Thruxton * Snetterton * Atlantic Road (this is not road Atlanta) * Carolina Motorsports Park * Norisring * Searspoint * Ring Knutstorp Other's that I'd recommend you already seem to have tried.
