We're delighted to release a great update to our Stock Car that should make those of you who enjoy it - even if just on the roadcourses - very happy!

You can now race as - or against - Joey Gase in the rFactor 2-sponsored car as seen in Phoenix last season. It really was a gorgeous livery, so we're happy to bring it to you in the sim.

Thank you very much for all those recent uploads!

Just wondering: Were the mispositioned exhaust and flames fixed too?

Thanks for the update. Just curious, the brake lights are disabled with this version?

Just to confirm, stock cars don't have real lights, they have decals to match whichever brand they are supposed to be.

I have finished stock car mod update and now multiplayer launcher server list all races are gray then some work and some won't seems to be issue with sync for server list . Not sure but definitely not responding as efficiently as it did before car update or could be one of new tracks. Apple Valley or other one.

Once a car gets updated server admin not only has to install the new car, but also create new vmods for every track they host with that car. So it's not automatic, people need to update a bunch of stuff on their servers.

The new car probably isn't on those servers yet.

Any chance for some elaboration on "tire tweaks"? Was it just camber, or were there other changes? I've read on other forums people complaining about tire wear. Not sure if that's just due to poor setup and/or over-driving the car or some other issue.

Just camber and some heating tweaks. The wear issue is probably not a good setup or over driving it.

I've noticed that a lot of people do tend to overdrive the car like crazy.
Way too much steering lock, way too much speed into the turns, etc.

I was "guilty" of the same thing myself when the car first got released.
Just slam the throttle and turn left, nice'n'easy.
I thought, "pfft, ovals, how hard can it be, right?". Boy did I get wiser quickly... ;)

rF2 will punish you severely for overdriving, so just take a step back a think about how you're actually driving.

If you want to really attack the corner entries, that's fine. But are you feeling uncomfortable on corner exits every single lap, and are your front tires down to 50 percent after 10 laps?
Perhaps it's time to reevaluate your driving style, in that particular car on that particular track.
It doesn't take much, a few mph too much speed on entry and you'll burn your tires and kill your exit speed.
Plus the worsening understeer lap by lap does tend to get people, myself included, quite frustrated. :D

Entering corners with a bit less speed has transformed my speedway experience a lot.
Less front wear, more rear wear, makes for a much better drive (my personal opinion).

Just some random thoughts from my own experience.
Not saying the stock car here should be held free of criticism.
I just wouldn't find any satisfaction from simply saying to myself "this car is wrong, I won't drive it until it suits me perfectly" and then just sit around and wait.
