News post: http://rfactor.net/web/2015/12/23/3pa-alabama-speedway-now-available/ Another third-party conversion from mianiak, with significant banking rework. Download: 181MB Steam: link It doesn’t sound difficult, simply putting your foot to the floor, but this track will quickly weed out those who lose concentration, put a wheel wrong, or simply have bad luck. This 2.66-mile oval is deceptively wide open, as it feels pretty small once you’re surrounded by 42 other cars all scratching and clawing their way past you…
Thanks all who put this one together, especially mianiak. Tim - that Mr. Bean guy, giving me the fingers, is starting to make me nervous...;-) Happy holidays ISI & all rf2ers.
Thank you very much. It the best oval track imo. Great layout and great graphics. Merry Christmas Gesendet von meinem GT-I9301I mit Tapatalk
Is this for real 3.86 Miles ? or is It Kilometers ? that would be 2.5 miles?? like Talladega ? typo or extra large oval ..;-)? never the less awesome track ! ;-)
It does look like Talladega. In the Track Data opening screen it says 6.21 km/ 3.86 miles. But in the log file it says 4330 metres, which is 2.6 miles.
Anyone suggest AI settings? The AI when bunched up or side by side seem to nearly stop in turn 2 and 4; wondering is that just me and a wrong setting? I hope ISI can figure out how to get the AI to pack race. I've had some very dicey races with the AI today and even with just a few cars around me it leads to some very authentic and intense plate racing, but proper real world style would be awesome.
Slowly ISI has been making me like oval racing and now with Mianiak's lovely creation I find myself wanting to drink Budweiser and park my RV in the infield. Oval racing is a big deal in the USA, possibly the most consistently watched free televised sport here. You guys are doing it justice and I say that as a person who is not even remotely into nascar. Great job Mian and all involved. edit: I do not have an RV nor do I drink Budweiser
Shake Rattle and Roll. No shortage of ovals anymore. Sure kin go darn fast with dem Indy cars on this circle. Thanks mianiak.
Agression to 80% for me seems to work well on ovals, then its just altering the skill to something suitable for your driving.
