That was broke before 1036, sometime in last week. Not that online matchmaker only but all of them. About 5 days ago.
+1. I'm surprised this is not fixed, as it further reduces the little participation in online that we had (we know players are like sheep and they will only join a pick-up server when they see someone else is there...).
This ^^!!! Good thing I hadn't deleted our non-Steam install as that updated and works fine, just not visible in Steam server list
I agree that this should be a priority, if you're new to rfactor2 via Steam and you go looking for a server to race on and it looks basically like all servers are empty; I might be looking to get my money back.
Jonathon LeFaive responded "This will fix itself with a future build of the dedicated server. We had to break this in order to support steam users." in http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.php/27395-Match-Maker-API-has-a-bug-with-recent-update.
Thanks Emery I had not seen that. However there are 2 issues, one is that the steam players do not get incremented to the non steam matchmaker player count, and the other is that a few days ago the online matchmaker player counts become totally screwed a few days ago, this is just online matchmaker web pages, obviously some webservice changed a bit. The issue you quote Jonathon on is for the latter, what you quoted me on is the former issue. So would still be good to get answer on that. I do not think it is a very big problem, but if it is to be permanent then that is hardly ideal. Because it is such an easy thing to do to add 1 to a integer, so I just wonder if there is some other reason, either deeper technical ones or due to steam small print or something.
Check if you have the same error of the screenshot attached. If so, .... I think we are going to have all steam users without dedicated servers, and a new buid soon
found this in another thread............works but don't know if the servers will be listed in the Steam server list and can't check as I'm at work
@ISI FYI some "race events" disappeared today, like the GT series. Cars are still there tho so can use it just fine selecting the oponents in the menu
the TV cams still don't zoom in. thats since build 982 or 998 i think. i am on tripple screen with multi monitor on.
have you tried every TV cam on a circuit? Because some just don't zoom in when you unlock them (when no on triple screens).
It is on many tracks. Isi and no isi tracks. For example isi silverstone v1.35 the tv cams don't zoom in. The car is sooo far away in the s'es. That changed in build 982 or 998, i don't remember correctly.
I'm sure you have already tried this, but just in case. I have found that sometimes you need to press "END" on your keyboard to allow the cams to zoom in and out manually. Sent from my D5803 using Tapatalk
END switches to the next camera and allows you to control and move it. PAGE DOWN sets it to the automatic camera sets.
Thanks H What we non-steam users put up with hey ........ humpph heehaw p small potatoes The GT room, someone made it with the new Pace Car upgrade and never added it to the remote or news list, only to downloads.
