I have to add my thanks to ISI for this track. It brings realism to a new level for me. Strange that should happen at a fantasy track. Anyway, brilliant job Regards
The answer is simple, ISI honestly make the best fantasy tracks in the business. Seriously, look at tracks in any other game including mainstream, big budget racers and compare them to tracks like ISI's Sardian Heights, Toban, Lienz, Mills, Essington, etc. ISI's are almost always a level up on others' tracks. Have you played the Toban Long Reverse? The final sector at Toban's Reverse layouts is amongst the best in racing. I could go on and on about great corners and corner combos of ISI tracks but it even goes further than the circuit layout itself. Toban really feels like Toban, same with Lienz, Essington, Sardian, Mills, Orchard, etc. The character of the track, trackside objects, and general location are all fantastic and alive. They really breath realism and creativity. In my mind, they're completely real and not fantasy other than the fact some ppl "label" them as fantasy if you know what I mean.
+1 As I said above, the grittiness at Mills is what helps push it into "full immersion" territory. Looks like a real place, not a sanitized, sparkling new, digitally-created world (that some recreations of real-world tracks look like). The great and challenging layouts seal the deal.
Mills is real enough for me. I turn my real G27 and my real PC and real rF2 software calculates where the car should go according to real physics principles on a track that I (eventually if anyone ever hosts it) can compete against real people from around the world at the same time
Great update. Miss the funky shadows along the pitlane Probably my favourite track as well. I think it's the closed in feeling rather than racing around an airfield. Plus the layouts are very varied.
I can only really echo what's already been said. The track is looking fabulous, very atmospheric, and remains a standard-setting fantasy layout. Thanks ISI.
Interesting that I really liked the brightness of the sun but then calibrated my monitor (Windows 7 calibration tool) which suggested turning gamma all the way down and now kinda dark but looks very good sorta like wearing good contrast sunglasses or helmet visor but still I like the bright sun maybe I'll compromise a bit on the gamma of course I have no idea what I am talking about with graphics
I'm very happy with the 2.0 version. Love the detailed geometry of the surface and the great atmosphere . TYVM ISI !!
I'm seeing two things I'm wondering if others are seeing or have any advice on. Outer Loop A with more than one type of car I am getting the slightest stutter right before the right-left following the medium-speed left-hander. The other thing is some z-fighting or something like that where two trees overlap each other or something like that on the right side of the track in the last turn.
Not necessarily a Bug of sorts but on the Inner Loop B the AI take an age to get up to Pit Lane Speed Limit after pulling out the Garage.
