We’re very happy to make another third-party conversion available to our users. Jacksonville is a conversion from rFactor 1, completed by one of our internal testing team. It had a number of texture updates to try to bring it up to lower-end rF2 standards, but should be considered a third-party track. It can still look quite beautiful, especially during the 30-40mins where the sun sets. We hope you’ll enjoy this tricky tri-oval! It is also important to note that this is NOT a ‘Daytona’ clone, as it has it’s own characteristics that set it apart, and make it challenging in ways a smoother and more recently built track from our own team would not be. The good news there is that we’re not done releasing tracks to support the stock car release… Download: 147MB Track Profile: Link (READ FOR INFO) The stock cars require Build 1008 to functional as we intend, so this track should be considered to have the same needs. Known issues: We need to give the A.I. another look, as improvements in one area can often affect another. The A.I. are quite dynamic and will adjust their line according to grip levels. At Jacksonville, this tends to see them running high up against the wall. With an upcoming update to the core, we would like to try to keep them from scraping the wall as often as they do right now on the ovals. You can disable the ‘dynamic superspeedway’ code that causes this by changing playerfile value “AI Logic Override” to 2.
Nicely done track! Thanks 3PA who ever you are Great feeling under the car as you pass over bumps and creases, Super!
How fast are fast guys going here? I managed to do 46.4 or something, poor? I had no trouble maintaining my tyres good for several laps.
Haha, is that solo, solo with a nicely working setup, in a draft, in a draft with 2 or 3 or more cars, bump drafting? I saw guys who must have had the cars dialed in nice, and got some really good bump runs going (lucky I guess) and they were screaming round. IIRC they were in the 44's. Still, others will be going faster I'm sure.
