    Hello everyone,
Finally!!!...Nascar that I can just load up a track, set time of day, dial in the strength and amount of AI that I want...and just race...lol...and if I cause a pile up....silence...no complaining, no name calling...then I can just push the 'Restart' button...got to love that!
ISI have done a fantastic job bringing us some Stockcar/Nascar for their rFactor 2 Simulation, a bit short on tracks at time of writing this but more planned soon and with some improvements on the AI as mentioned by ISI themselves, this will be my go to Stockcar/Nascar Simulation.
I had purchased 'Nascar 2013, The Game' and 'Nascar 2014' through 'Steam' for the PC and my new T300RS Steering Wheel did not work very well in these games which was very unsatisfying....thankfully the T300RS works amazingly well in rFactor 2 and is highly recommended as an upgrade from my previous wheel which was a G27.
The You tube video is the rF2 Stockcar at 'Jacksonville Super Speedway', starting with a Formation Lap ( I am easy to spot as I am the car weaving in and out of formation...'Hold your line, buddy, Hold your line'...lol...then it was pedal to the metal until I meet my demise a few laps later. Highly recommended.

well....After much anticipation, we finally have stock cars. I ran about 10 minutes at Jacksonville and Mountain Peak. Default setup, same controller settings that I use for GT's. I must say that right out of the box, I love these things. Great feel and fun drive. Now to start playing with setups and controller settings. GREAT JOB GUYS.

Here is the set up I have used for Mountain Peak for the past month.
It will let you look at the default setup and see the changes that were made to make the car faster and stable on this bumpy track.
    Very fun to race on!

    I agree 100%.
In the rF2 stocks let you feel so much more of what the car is doing, and this turn allows you to drive much better.

The opposite is true when it comes to iRacing, I find...
You don't feel anything until it's too late. If the rear starts sliding you'll receive that information too late, and it's race over (possibly collecting tens of other drivers in the process).
I guess this is the reason why I never felt attracted to the oval racing in iRacing. I don't feel I'm have actual control over the car, at least not in crisis situations.

Last night on the public rF2 stock car server I had some pretty hairy moments.
But I was given the information in time and that allowed me to react in time.
If I put one wheel over unto the green part of the track, I could instantly feel that one wheel start losing grip, and I could then make the proper correction before I got myself into serious trouble.

The rF2 stock cars will, no doubt, make me fall in love with virtual oval racing.

As a rule of thumb in a pitstop:

    Raising the trackbar does what?
    Lowering the trackbar does what?

    Increasing wedge does what?
    Decreasing wedge does what?

Tyre pressures, what effect do adjusting single tyres have?

I can't test yet because I have a problem with PC. But I saw some videos and can't wait to test. But two things are drawing my attention: The turn 1 bump is too big and the cars lifting in turn 1. Is it normal or a setup problem?

If you're talking about Jacksonville, from the release thread:
It is also important to note that this is NOT a ‘Daytona’ clone

fire up rF2 with indy and a stock car of your choice. Save a setup and use a name like "ThisIsTheFolder" save it close rF2
Open your rF2 Folder with Explorer drill down to \userdata\player\settings sort your folders decending with the date column and you will find your Folder. You can also use windows search for finding ThisIsTheFolder.svm

Not sure where to report issues or problems, I'll try here.

I'm not sure if its the cars or something with the tires (gut says tires), but for some reason with a little tuning I'm able to run flat out around Mountain Peak, even on the low downforce package. If these cars are supposed to be based on Gen6 Cup cars, this should not be physically possible on a 1.5 mile Intermediate. Also cooking the right front tire doesn't seem to result in any change in grip level at that part of the car. Are these known issues?

EDIT: Okay so apparently I'm not the only one:
