People who have contributed to this pack (in alphabetic order): Alex Koda | EraZr1 | ethone | Fraggon | Mastpalermo | pitspeed Thanks to Bjørn for his continued help with hosting. The full skin list now includes 74 cars. I will post some preview shots in the next posts as there apparently is a limit of 10 per posts here. The new cars are: #50 C7.R #63 C7.R #64 C7.R #67 Darche #68 Darche #77 Darche #88 Darche #91 Darche #92 Darche #51 Ferruccio #55 Ferruccio #61 Ferruccio #62 Ferruccio #66 Ferruccio #71 Ferruccio #72 Ferruccio #83 Ferruccio #53 Venom #12 Revolution P1 #13 Revolution P1 #46 Loire P2 #47 Loire P2 (waiting on reply from Ales on enabling chrome effect) All 52 skins from previous releases are included as well. Once the AM's from RJames are done there will be a new release. The skins are provided in two versions: - Packaged into .rfcmp files for installation through the launcher as updates to the base cars. The benefit of this is that you will have proper driver names and AI classes. This is my personal way of using the skins and I would recommend it if you primarily race offline against the AI. Please note that the update components are currently broken in Build 998, so only use this version if you run an older Build or ISI releases a new Build, fixing the bug. If installed in Build 998 the base cars will disappear. Uninstallation is done through the Launcher as well. - Packaged as Virtual Rides, which simply drop loose files into you UserData\player\settings folder. These should be selectable for online races as well but have downsides when running offline against the AI exclusively. Uninstallation is tricky as you will have to manually delete the files from the filesystem. This version however is currently the only way to use the skins with Build 998. So I recommend this if you primarily want to use the skins online. Or want to use them in the current Build 998, really. THX! PS: How do these GTR and 370, Corvette skinpacks http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.php/21965-Community-skinpacks work (they do as I am using them)? - Are they standalone mods?
Note about the links... The WeTransfer links are by far the fastest links... But they only last a week, so they're there to take the initial load of demand... After Sept 23rd the WT links will be dead (new policy/terms of use) and the mediafire and the mega links will have to do then
You should ask questions about those in their own thread. No sense spreading information in too many places when they should be in one place. FWIW, they appear to be rfcmp-components, which are currently broken with Build 998.
Doh, and I added all old skins as virtual rides yesterday. Anyway, thank you very much. Nice teamwork!
We are asking because those skins work in Build 998. They are not broken. We just install and we get base cars and skins. You are telling us that doesn't work. But it does with those skins. Se we are asking why do those work, but yours don't? We don't understand the difference.
