From what I've read so far, the real car uses a more or less stock dsg transmission and I think even the engine is not dramatically different to the the road car, with the exception of the p2p function. So I would imagine they can't alter the gear ratios. Maybe as a temp upgrade it would be a nice feature, perhaps limiting that to just an adjustable final gear ratio, but personally I prefer it when modders stay faithful to the real car. Just my personal opinion of course. Sent from my D5803 using Tapatalk
Thanks. I have temp boost mapped to a convenient steering wheel button How can you tell if the boost is on or off?
Excellent work Tommy! Have to do some driving tests tonight, but what I've seen and heard so far is top notch. I checked the templates and played with the alpha channel for the windows. In my opinion the interior looks a bit bright from the outside so I tried a brighter alpha channel to make the windows less transparent. What do you think? Btw, the material name for the rims is WCEXTRA1. If you name your alt skin "tt33alt.dds", you should name the rims "tt33altextra1.dds" and the windshield "tt33altwindow.dds".
This is OK if the button only activates the extra boost while it is physically depressed (you hold it down). Is that the case, or is it an on/off toggle? If it's a toggle, we need some light or message of some sort or else we could very easily leave it on by mistake (in the hectic turning, shifting, racing mayhem!). Apologies if this is obvious to everyone. First car I have used in rF2 with a boost feature.
Positive Feedback: - well balanced sounds - believable driving experience - overall good look - rf2 engine features like turbo, ram pressure - fast AI, giving a good challange Negative Feedback: - missing new Steering System (FFB feels not so good with old steering system) - some graphical glitches: road is mirroring in visor letters, flickering visor (not reproducable, see picture) - AI runs out of fuel also in practice (tested at Mid-Ohio) View attachment 17780 All in all superb version 1.0! Thanks a lot!
Look for SteeringInnerTable in newer cars hdv. You probably want to fill out the suspension spreadsheet to get the correct values.
Nicely done Tommy! It's obvious you put a lot of [outstanding] work and time into this mod. Thank-you for sharing. PS: Also observed road "mirroring in visor letters" (minor though).
I dint't want to change anything which is not possible on the "real" car. They can't change the ratio, so i don't want to make changeable as well. I hope you understand.
Maybe it caused by the refelection, cause now the banner is part of the carbody, and use the same shader and material. And just mirrored into the cockpit, but the exterior reflection is not the best from cockpit view.
