There is definitely pluses and minuses to both. I echo the same thoughts as Keith. I've been a season ticket holder at the track for 10 years or so now. While I've never taken my car on the track, i have been on it on pedal bike and have walked around the track way too many times for a track that size LOL! The elevations in the SM version seem the most consistent and accurate from what I have experienced in person. The run from Canada to the Billy Michell Bend seems more accurate on the Ethone/Coutie along with the track width. The track just opened up a trail that runs the back stretch (Kink to Canada). So I'll get to see a little bit better in person how that section aligns up. I was there a little bit for the Indycar test in Sept, but that was a long time ago all ready LOL! I can't remember if it is NFS-Shift or if it was Race Driver Grid was the original source for the SM version (with rF1 inbetween). The texture work you are doing for this Davidd is spot on! Looking great! Again, it's another month - month and a half before the track opens up again, where I can get the updated bill boards and barriers.
Ok, thanks Chris. I'm going to finish this up soon as poss now. New boards etc can be added later, as with any other work on it. Track/Grass blends still look a bit ****ty - no alpha blending so please be a bit gentle on that! Cheers Davidd
I think this is just about done, at least for now - warts 'n all which are many but hopefully this adds to a great drive around this circuit. View attachment 19686 I'll pack up and send! Davidd
Hi Davidd, in our Indycar champ, Road Am is scheduled in begining of June (6th) ? Do you think your track can be use at this date ? I'm hope for the best. By the way, on which year are you building the adds and billboards ?
I've packed it up, so this verson is ready to roll. This will go by the catchy name, SCES_Road_America1_3 which should help for continuity. It just needs hosting - any ideas? Thanks Davidd
Depending on file size, you could go with one of these: http://thetechreader.com/tech/15-top-free-file-hosting-sites-2015-reviews-and-ratings/
