Aren't the Fanatec wheels hard to come by? My CSR gave up the ghost a few months ago after a run of a couple of years. I decided to upgrade to a V2 but wasn't blessed with an "invitation" to buy one so decided to just get another CSR. But Fanatec didn't have any to sell and couldn't give me a date as to when they would have any to sell.
T500rs is still a nice hardware for the price, and don't do the mistake to think the hardware could compensate bad feedback or steering simulation. It just would show you the already existing errors different, while increasing the feedback outter controle.
A lot about physical feel . Plastic must doesn't cut it for me.. If I'm going to spend on a pc that runs the game well then the physical connection between the sim and l must be as real as possible.. Of course dollars do matter for most but if l have to save a little longer to get that connection so be it
I finally bought the t300 gte, should arrive tomorrow, I will tell you how it compare to the fanatec. I'm tempted to buy the f1 Wheel as I play a lot of open Wheel in rfactor 2.
Fanatec CSV2 available from retailers here . Lucky I guess. order goes in on Thursday 48 hrs delivery .. good bye real life back when I'm finished
?? Retailers? I thought they had to be ordered from Fanatec directly, with an invite code, and had a waiting list?
Pagnian in Australia may be an outlet. If you google fanatec Australia it leads to them..so l guess a distributor but they also retail other sim stuff
I have brought fanatec stuff from their online store recently but still waiting for the invite code. These guys have them in stock.not sure how many ?
Well Im not going to be much good as Ive driven for 10 + years with non FFB. be a whole new experience for me.
I received the wheel yesterday, haven't played much yet but my first impressions is that it has a much better force feedback than the fanatec. More subtle and refined, the gte wheel has a good weight to it, but isn't slow. I miss the on the fly settings of the fanatec but I rather have a better force feedback, I bought it for 300€ and for that price range there is nothing close. So first impressions are really good.
Well after a week of testing I'm really satisfied with the t300, a good step up from my fanatec, I don't know about durability, only time will tell, but the motor on this wheel is really good at capturing with finesse the force feedback. Obviously I'm talking about a budget of less than 300 €, high end wheel are not par of the equation.
Fitted.installed.feels so different. Test tune test tune and more tuning .. And then probably go back to default except there is no way in hell lm driving with 1.0 ffb. Will break my wrists.
