Would be nice if that would change, and even better if it would depend on the AI :) With maybe 1 or 2 changing to soon, and a couple of the AI changing very late (just as a J. Button for instance is usually one of the first to fit Slicks, while some other drivers are often a bit late ;) )

Thanks for testing Peterchen. Seems that half an hour of drying conditions weren't enough then...

Welcome! No, half an hour is not enough.
Wonder if drying line is linked to the realroad-multiplyer-slider. Anybody know?

yes it is. started to drive with normal real road multiplier to have everything like in real life and when tested rain it really takes a good while for anything to dry up. if you have it on 15x it just takes usually 3 rounds to have the fastest line dry up with about 10cars on the track.

    Mhh, thanks for the answers!
It´s a pitty! Makes really not much sense...... one should be able to de-link it via a JSON-setting.

    ???????????????????????????
Can one adjust the realroad-Multiplier and the dynamic dry-line-multiplier independent in AC?

There's no realroad or drying line in AC...

Indeed. Someone needs to watch Monaco F1 race from 1996. :)

I don't have an answer on this yet, sorry folks.

basically ...the rain tyre is fudged and uses fudged grip levels in the tdf file

A.I. go ok in the rain because they don't use the same tyre physics/files as us

Stop talking bad things about AC, it has good and bad things just like rF2! Oh, and yes from my experience in real life driving on rain, in rF2 it's like driving on ice, tottaly unrealistic... hope it gets looked at by ISI soon aswell as general optimizations, otherwise rain as it is now is not useful which is a pitty...

I don't actually know what they did in the pits. I just know that if I do a 30 minute race at Silverstone National in the Renault Clios the AI cars don't pit during the race if it doesn't rain. If it does rain, even for 30 seconds they all end up pitting.

You're talking about the Camaro. If you ask me, the wets on them don't work and are just the same as slicks (bug in the mod).
I created a thread for this problem, but received no reply: http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.php/21607-Camaro-no-wet-tires?highlight=

iRacing never needed rain to get 50,000 member's

Maybe some of you should think on that for a while.

    lol

Personally I would rather just day /night and more work done elsewhere.

I would leave realistic weather for future sims , rF3 etc
