We´ve been racing our league using nissan 370z. Until b910 we´ve been racing the European spec upgrade. Since update we simply cant use European cars. T1: Forced upgrades off Allowed classes: 370z only Result: Kicked, selected class dont pass filter T2: Forced upgrades: off Allowed classes: 370z, 370z_Dutch Result: Never kicked but whatever class people choose they all use 370z_Dutch T3: Forced upgrades: on Allowed classes: 370z Result: Kicked, selected class dont pass filter T4: Forced upgrades: on Allowed classes: 370z, 370z_Dutch Result: Same as T2 So my question is what is messed with this situation? Is people using the european spec car but some bug showing Dutch? Or European class broke in this B910? Any help would be appreciated.
I reported a bug where the class is wrongly reported onto the monitor do your test with the Corvette, because it is really easy to be sure which version you have (2009 engine RPM limiter is 6200, 2010 engine RPM limiter is 6900) but I have the feeling that its just to monitor who show you always the dutch version: http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.php/23052-Build-906-corvette-2009-engine-show-2010-in-the-monitor but I am curious, how can you force a class to be dutch or europeen ? Thanks
Im not so sure about being only a monitor bug. If you allow just the european class you will be kicked from server. You can force dutch or european by allowing just one of them.
maybe the server "think" you have the dutch class because it show dutch instead of europeen and boot the players even if they have the "correct" class but it is not shown on the monitor.
I wonder if anybody from staff read this part of forum. It would be good to have some sort of answer about this issue.
I'm looking at the upgrades.ini and this is all that I see for the Euro spec: Code: UpgradeLevel="European 370Z" { Description="European spec." } I don't even see where this upgrade does anything. Am I missing something?
That's sort of what I'm wondering. Can anybody check what the "MULTI Allowed Vehicles" setting is on both the client and server after running one of the scenarios? (And make sure to report which scenario it was!)
I just hosted a server with only the GT4_370z filter set and here is what I get in the server's plr file: Code: "MULTI Allowed Vehicles":"|GT4_370z" And the client side says this: Code: "MULTI Allowed Vehicles":"|GT4_370z|GT4_370z_Dutch" But regardless of what upgrade I select it shows my upgrade class in the monitor as GT4_370z_Dutch.
From what i can check, Dutch is diferent from default European car in Mass (less 29Kg), Rear tire mass, Weight distribution and tire degradation (mostly cause of extra weight probably) Thats cause European is not an upgrade, its the "original" car. In HDV you can check that base car is Mass=1373.0 And the Dutch upgrade is: HDV=Mass=1344
Also i dont understand why in VEH the AIUpgradeClass=GT4 when there isnt any class such as "GT4" but only "GT4_370z" and "GT4_370z_Dutch". It reads only part of it and assume European to all AI´s?
I guess UpgradeClass just isn't working in the upgrades.ini right now. To work around the problem I simply wiped out the upgrades.ini and repacked. If you are desperate for a quick fix then that may be the only option. Out of curiosity I took a quick look at 370z 1.43 and notice the upgrades.ini is all commented out. I've never messed with UpgradeClass before so I don't know much about how it works. I typically put each car make in their own class using the VEH files (so car setups are tagged properly) and then group them all back up into GT2, GT1, ect ect by using DisplayClassOverride. I've never paid much attention to AIUpgradeClass because I've only really messed with cars for league use.
Nevermind. I believe we've identified the problem determining the class of the vehicle. Unfortunately you'll have to wait for the next build ...
Im not in a hurry. In the end we announced that all people need to use the Dutch version, so problem solved by now and waiting for next build.
