The "halo" is the well-known heat haze bubble issue. I get it only in rear view mirror, but it appears in various combinations of settings since almost day 1 of rF2. Most see it in both forward and rear views (and replays).

Both common issues with HDR off, those led colors never worked unless HDR is on.

I'm running with 39! :) as above it's probably the safety car causing it

Try going to Settings > Change Data Path and then select the same data path folder. This will force the launcher to refresh it's mod inventory, which is also what is happening after running the mod manager. I'm curious if the crash happens under both circumstances.

    +1

Have a dearer version to buy, 10 bucks a year.

Would add slots for all validated addons.

That is what Noel and clever people could do, I could pay a one up fee to them and get any validated content 24/7 not just when a server is up.

This would separate the rips and no permissions once and for all.
I have never liked the idea while developers ban mods and tracks they allow anything to run on their servers. ....that is just personal opinion.

I mean you would still be free to run the normal version and run rips, your choice.

Maybe eventually ISI does this but it would be huge bandwidth so it would need to be paid for surely. ?

Holy effin crap is there a gd manual with this new build? I think I'll skip this one as I don't have time for another college degree to update this.

Interesting. That caused a crash as soon as I hit "Select Folder" in the Windows dialog (that was already pointing to my correct C:\rFactor2 folder. Go back in, pick a sub-folder and it does not crash. Pick the proper folder and it crashes. 100% of the time, same as when I exit Mod Manager, so this seems to point to the source of the problem.

Aside, should all ISI cars appear in the main Launcher content list? I don't see Clio or Howston or Civic or many others. They are still installed in my sim, though. Looks like only the newest are appearing.

Good idea!! As when I went to other tracks (without the mod I made with Mercedes SLS) the mirrors were fine.

The discussion in here for 150 or so posts would suggest otherwise. Unless you don't count actually using the product as part of updating.

Marc, I just went through the discussion and 28+ people had successful updates. 2 people had crashes and you're one of them. 2 people aren't seeing specific content. 1 person has a UI problem. 2 people are experiencing black flashes.

The other complaints are regarding oddities with content (like the black mirrors that has a resolution now) or expressing dislike of the bright daytime. One person who successfully updated went back to 880.

Updating to this build has probably been more successful than prior builds as far as the safety of the build. Whether a person LIKES the update is a different kettle of fish.

Has there been an rF2 update where there isn't discussion like this?
