I would be more than happy to help get this Mod released, however I'm still not entirely sure what work needs to be done. I can work with physics and textures but am learning 3D. If anyone decides to get this going and needs help, I am willing to lend a hand.

A concise write-up may be useful indeed. If zerocool does have the base stuff from Nick, then it could be passed on to anyone who's talented and has time to revamp the 3D shapes and move on to texture updates.

I am currently dealing with a couple guys (including SRosswick) via PM. At this point the mod mostly needs someone who really understands car & tire physics. I do hope one day this mod can be released to the sim racing community as you all deserve it. I have taken the project as far as I can so we'll see if these guys -or anyone else- can help finish it up.

This was the last update before the project was haulted:

According to document, looks like theres not much more to do except tires and physics..

Visuals can definitely be improved, doesn't read like much on the driving but there is so much work behind it, and so much needed.

Would the Dallara DW-12 tires help for the ovals? I thought I gave you that stuff months ago Dann. Was it not helpful?

What physics stuff is left to be done? So much of it was written great for rF1 that I imagine it should be able to be translated to rF2 pretty easily if old rF1 cars like the rF3 are being converted so easily "on a weekend" as some say.

Any news on this, did the developement pick up and can we expect CART Factor 2 to be finished some day? CART Extreme for GSCE is just fabulous and with rF2, this mod would be pure awesomeness!

I believe IDT was also working on CART 95 conversion, does anyone know if it is still in developement?

I was paused for quite a bit on the '95 mod. I recently restarted looking at it again. It will take some time to get back on track.

Just FYI, I keep building a library of 80's and 90's artwork so I would be happy to paint cars. I have been painting since Papyrus' IndyCar so would be willing to help, whether it's the Reynard, March 86C or the 1994/1995 Indy or Cart Factor Mod - I have a lot of artwork.

I'm still paint dozens of cars if nothing else just to have the art ready if/when rF2, iRacing, whatever release another historical 80's/90's car. :) Message me if you ever need help with cars, helmets, firesuits or logos, thanks for all your effort over the years!

I'm in the process of rebuilding my old computer. Once I get this complete I will begin looking into it again.

rf2 is the best simulator; but the mod are not so lot; it s really pity, that a free user can t enjoy like it was before in rf1
