    Hi all,

It's a little Karting track near Rouen... Still a lot to do but already enjoyable...

I will have less time to update things and I need feedback and test so here is an alpha version.

    Version 0.9:
-Pitworker and CornerWorker need to be fix or add in some place.
    -Cameras need to be fix.
-Some Object and textures need to be Fix.
-There is no optimisation so any feedback on slow FPS etc etc are welcome...
-I need to add VISGROUP for Train/ Quali/ Race
-Vegetation need to be redo (tree, Bush, grass)
    etc

Looks like a terrific, fun layout! And the graphics look very nice, too, at least to my eye.

Is the real track really billiard table flat?

Don't hesitate to let some of us keeners help you test it :)

I certainly wouldn't mind testing it either, if you ever need it.

So no this track is certainly not a billard board... I really need to add random bump here and there. I've just contact the owners of the track maybe they will offer me a ride:).
I still need to fix new shader multi Layer Grass/Dirt that I use for terrain before an alpha release. It may come soon.
AI seems ok and it's fully raceable but road need to be rework(bump) + adding and fix some object (trees, crowds, etc)

    Great!

I was referring to the landscape, though, not the bumps. Is there no elevation change, even a small one?

Do you plan to tell the owners you are doing this? It's always interesting to see if they find it positive publicity or negative in some way.

As for bumps, if you go there you could see for yourself, but placing some ripples and small bumps in places where we would expect there to be wear and tear on the track is good enough for me. No one should expect professional surveying or laser scanning! As long as it "feels" authentic, it will be a hit!

Thanks for working on this--it really does look very impressive already.

Would be cool if you could run the karts there with a camera attached the the nose of it, so the angle wouldn't change :)

Thanks so much!!! RF2 and karting almost feels like a seperate game, it's such a special and unique experience. I'm in love with this track. Feel free to add more fidelity and definition to the track surface :)

Merci, Arnao. Looking' real fine :) I am excited about more kart tracks too. They're a blast to drive and I'm starting to imagine it's improving my cornering and passing skills when transferred to the bigger person toys.

    +1

by giving the track suface cracks, skid marks and wear, everything becomes even more immersive. The speed sensation becomes more intense.

IMO: Corft and Putnam Park are the best examples. (Click here)

and click here for real live video for comparison.

    Thanks for the track.

Absolutely stunning for a v0.9! All the hard stuff that most mod tracks can't get you have nailed. Everything else is already in your to-do list. Wow. Thanks and I hope you will utilize your incredible talent for other tracks, too! PM me if you are willing to work on some existing tracks that just need a bit of polishing.

Only place I noticed unusual FPS drop was in pit lane (unusual meaning even more than we would expect). I agree with Gijs that unless the real track is absolutely brand new pavement, a bit of irregularity and wear and tear on the track surface itself would be nice. But your textures already look very realistic, so this is less of an issue than for many other tracks.

Wow...is about all I can say.

@Arnao - thanks so much for the fun track. I agree with Marc in that it almost feels like a 1.0. Merci beaucoup and take your time tweaking as you have planned.
PS - I do hope they give you some free karting track time to get the surfacing to your liking
