Hi, I have recently taken over RF2 and then I new this problem. When I enter the server (my dedicated machine which already host RF1), I have a raising of the ping and packet loss, beyond belief. We talk about a ping rising from 29ms to 80 ms and packets lost up to 20/25%.

Sifting through here and there among the files, I read that one of the known issues, there is what Bitdefender does not download the mod, something that has not happened to me (I Bitdefender Internet Security 2015).

Can he be the cause of this problem? I state that exceptions on the firewall and the antivirus exceptions were already made.

    Thank you in advance

EDIT : Without Bitdefender, the problem persist

Do i understand it right?.... You have 2 machines running in the same home-network and one of them is the host and with the other you join it?

Did you "Ping" both machines and what was the result?

And can you tell something about the kind of internet-connection and if you are connected by wire or over w-lan....

They are two different PCs on different Internet lines.

One is the dedicated server that I rent and the other is my home pc.

Dedicated server have wire connection 100mb/s dw/up

    Home PC have wire connection

I did a tracert with my dedicated server and the ping is 13ms. I also Rf1 on my dedicated server and have no problems with ping, so it's very low

Do you have the possibility to trace the host and your machine, when you are on the host, from a third machine?
What connection do you have at home (upload/download)?
And do you have other machines online at the same time at your home-internet-connection?

And the dedicated server you have rented, is it a "shared" one or a root?

You should really turn off AV when gaming.

    Check your MTU?

EDIT : I solved it. I set up a connection in the game at "LAN 5mbps" in up/dw. Now with "Cable/DSL 256kbps" is all ok. Packet loss 0.00% and ping 35ms.

    I apologize for the inconvenience
