Thanks to Neel Jani for allowing conversion from GTR2/rF1 Nothing special but everything works nice, reflections, animated workers etc I am trying to put together a British track pack, with Btcc tracks in mind. I have now all and Cadwell on top but Oulton Park is a bad version. Please don't tell me Ai is rubbish I am still learning very slowly and I haven't even looked at improving that aspect yet but I will in the future. And please someone volunteer to help with AI! Lots of modders need help with that--no need to apologize.
UPDATED to v0.96 Fixed Night lighting. Thanks to Rainmaker. Download link v0.96 https://mega.co.nz/#!Nx5wAQpB!x57a89Drr8Kkera8ppu8LKe3PGL8AYS-u5NBER8w68w Best to uninstall v0.95 I think.
I like this track, thank you; IMO, the AI is not rubbish, a little slow only, but not too much for me (but I'm a slow driver, so... )
Good work, thank you Dedicated server -Fun2Race.net 2- is hosting this track: http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.php/22069-Fun2Race-net-Porsche-Challenge
Rice is delicious and healthy... but always only rice!? With rice, fish and vegetables you could make delicious sushi and this would be pure diversity. At pitlanes.com is a server set up to test the diversity! On the grandiose race track RockinghamBTCC stand three different touring cars from Japan, USA and Germany in the pit lane. They wait for rF2 racers, to test them to the limits for a common championship. The server is called: Pitlanes.com BTCC Test ...and there is also a thread under: http://www.pitlanes.com/index.php/f...perimental-servers-need-feedback-ac-rf2#11347 See you on the race track,- thanks for the reference times and a big thank you for this great track. Cheers...
Looks like the Rockingham UK track LaserCutter and I worked on for rFactor 1. So when will you add the many different layouts? Cause that was the fun part of this circuit. Glad you got permission from the GTR version, not that I was asked about it. But I think this was a TOCA track to start with, so you might want to ask Codemasters for a permission also. This was really a fun project to work on years ago. I loved that it had so many layouts, and it was fun but vary tedious to make different layouts work with the right signage and road cones appearing on the racing surface. It really took alof of effort to place those objects. If you do make a file or somehow give credit, Please mention DeadEyeski and lasercutter in there. Thank you.
Thanks Richard. The other layouts will come as time permits. I was told this track was an original scratch by neil jani and as he is a very well known modder I had no reason to think differently, so I went straight to him to ask permission and obviously he said yes but didn't mention anything about it being from other sources. Sorry for any confusion. I will contact him again and see. If this is the case all I can do is add some names to the text file.
Just for reference here is the release description for the rF1 release, Rockingham UK 1.00 http://www.rfactorcentral.com/detail.cfm?ID=Rockingham%20UK
This is typical...very few truly scratch-made tracks that are of a real-world facility. So much time is spent chasing permissions to update for rF2 from the last person or people who worked on a track when they and the original converters never had permission or rights (nor would they ever get them if they asked) in the first place. Even a scratch-built track would require permission and/or licensing to use the real name/logo/etc., of a real track, which we know is also highly unlikely to occur--take a look at ISI's own tracks! Can we just stop pretending about all of this? If you have talent, work on whatever you want. Always give credit to those who came before you. Don't pretend that your project is any more legitimate from a legal standpoint as anyone else's, because it probably isn't. Don't use converted tracks or any other illegal representations if you are concerned about this issue.
