OMG, the FSAE is such a fun car to throw around a track!!!!!!! The perfect "first open wheel" car for anyone who eventually wants to master the top-level cars. Ridiculously huge and grippy tires on what amounts to not much more than a super kart frame. Formula for fun If you want to learn Toban, try it in one of these! You probably already know virtual mirror is disabled (maybe because they have no mirrors themselves the same system as the karts use to get the virtual mirror activated might work?). And the steering is so tight that it suffers the same problem as the Palatov and the karts--most wheels can't handle that much FFB compressed into such a tight range. Instead of reducing the FFB itself, which is gloriously detailed and firm, as it should be, I tried opening-up the steering ratio to 630 degrees. That helped a lot and the car still turns on a dime, so no loss of functionality whatsoever. The problem is the stupid rF2 controller check box for "car set" that does not stick with the car itself, but acts as a universal setting. That means it's mostly useless unless you can leave it on for 100% of the cars. So please consider a tuning option perhaps for the 450 and a 630 degree range. 450 may be totally accurate, but as mentioned this is a FFB sim hardware issue I think. These should become very popular to race online!!
That deserves its own topic, to be honest. Such a cute little machine, haha. With a few more teams in a future update, it will be an awesome little car pack for multi and single-player fun. The only spots of feedback I can find at the moment are: - AO to the chassis, especially the rear suspension mount - Force feedback is heavy and clipping, but not very detailed. You feel the noise signal but miss a lot of the subtle bits, even curbs - Some flickering on the car texture, on the upper edge of the nose - How is the damage model set? There is some interesting behavior when the car makes contact with the grass or tarmac while sideways, like something may go beneath the surface plane - Engines sound quite powerful for such tiny thing, but if it's how they are in real life then ignore this - Default gearing needs lengthening of ratios - Hand clipping the wheel

Great. It's such a pleasure. The fsae cars feel so believable. As a former member of a formula student team in Germany I'm very happy to see these cars. It was a hard but great time. Thank you for this cars and the feelings I link with them Gesendet von meinem GT-I9301I mit Tapatalk
That's awesome!!! Just made a donation myself... Can't wait for the release of the Lotus 99T! I'll download the beta version as soon as I get the passwords! Keep up the outstanding work
After trying the 99T, te car feels great for a beta, but I noticed the cockpit doesn't match the real one I've seen (in the picture below). http://oldschool-brain.tumblr.com/post/27555955229/come-la-vedeva-il-campione-visuale-interna-della The cockpit of the RF2 model looks more like the 98T one. Were there any changes to the cockpit during the season? Cheers
I'm curious... does anything in the cockpit have specular or normal? Even a little bit of reflection (even if it's just static cube map reflection). How do you output from zmodeller? Have they made a filter for rFactor 2?
Any news on the 91 Benetton? I feel like this is missing in the 91 pack. A V8. And the high nose. Wasn't it in beta some month ago? I love this car.
I try to answer your questions: ZModeler has no export to RF2, we use the usual procedure that was used with Rf1 and then 3dsimed 3. The Benetton B191 is almost ready, I leave a screen The minardi 1991 could be one of the next 1991 cars. The formula sae is available again Thursday night. View attachment 19649 View attachment 19650
I love it! Man you guys' work is of such high quality, it's truely amazing I really hope maybe you will look into doing 1995/1996 Forti! I mean, they are (in my opinion) beautiful cars with a very nice colour and one of my all-time favourite F1 drivers : Luca Badoer!!!!
