Very good news. it was my preferred mod in RF1. Spent many hours enjoying their cars and multi class racing. Thanks to the E.S. modding team.
I never had rF1 so I never experienced this Enduracers mod, but I had a look at their website and specifically the car list. I notice that this V3 of the mod says it is adding 9 more vehicles to the rF1 version. Related to that, does anyone know if the eventual rF2 version is intending to cover all those cars? I was quite stunned to look at the car list and see all those GT and prototype cars. If that is the case, that would be insane and a crazy amount of work by the team.
All the cars from base release to SP3 will be included, and it sounds like 3 more cars will be added to that!
Go to the Enduracers website, there is a neat little graphical list with descriptions for each of the cars. http://www.enduracers.com/es.html
Mmm, I know right. It is a huge stack of cars. I do wonder though, are any of those GT ones done by Simbin? The Saleen, Maserati, Lamborghini, Spyker, etc. I suppose the models will only need a relatively small amount of work if they are already in rF1 and are nicely detailed. I don't wanna make guesses about the work to be done as it must be immense, but won't there only be a handful of tyres to be made too? Wouldn't each class of car (within the same tyre brand) run the same basic tyre? I.E. the LMP1 Dunlop tyres must be fairly similar across all the LMP1 cars that use Dunlops. ...I'm probably so wrong with that tyre statement XD
Enduracers modding team made the correct step. Now lets hope HistorX Mod Team and Team ORSM follows them and port their incredible mods to rf2. This indeed are great news for all of us and for this isi project.
Wow, well that is awesome to hear. That truly is an awesome effort by them, best of luck to them in these new versions
The biggest modding announcement for rFactor 2 so far, and I am very glad Enduracers are the spearheads when it comes to big modding teams pushing a mod for rFactor 2. Awesome news, best choice of platform for their mod. No matter how long it will take until it's here, the Endurance Series mod will boost rFactor 2's popularity a lot, mark my words. Thank you Enduracers!
Hopeful and confident that this will be done properly, even if it takes a while. I am sure it will be well worth the wait. Hope they release at least some individual cars early to get some initial feedback and bug testing. That sure helped the ASR guys.
Good. Hopefully they will use rF2 physical models instead of porting the ones from rF1, including their dodgy tire models. And also hopefully the third-party modders will eventually bring other cars across from rF1. This could be a good and usable mod.
