Did you run the AC track in optimal track condition? I've been told it needs to be set to the lowest (not the one to simulate super old asphalt) grip level - which builds up progressively - for it to be more adequate of usual fan laps.
Anyway, I fired it up briefly last night and crashed on the first left hander after the pits because in reality it comes much sooner than the versions I had played in games (bar GTR Evo) before, and being on a blind approach I couldn't see it in time for the brakes in the P1 to work.

The only thing that struck me about other mod versions while playing the AC scanned version is just how damn good the Sim modding community is.

    That is all.

Make v3.0 "Early Access" and add the Historic Layout, please.

    :)

Interesting link about the History of the Nürburgring, thank's for sharing.

I wasn't aware there is a historical version of the Nürburgring which includes Südschleife section. Is it also available for rF2?

Why AC refer to "Green Hell" in promos.

Green Hell for me is the most deadly decades aka 1950s-1970s

    I know, it was rhetorical.

Yes Jackie Stewart named it and was the most outspoken on safety.

Green Hell reflected how unsafe and deadly it was.

With vehicle and track technology it is inherently safer today.

For me "Green Hell" is a homage to the legends of the time drove the old course and should remain as such.

P.S. Green Hell 2015 style is Isle of Man ;)

    Hahaha, absolutely

Still, Ulster GP? NW200? Scarborough? Heck, any road racing lol.
Seeing a mass start of superbikes in greasy/drizzly conditions is something to behold...even more so than the balls the riders have XD

Finally tried the AC version, the only big differences are the elevations, i didn't need to re-learn any turn.
Uninstalled right after that, i really don't like their physics.

Yep, same here. I guess, it`s really good, to drive sometimes other sim`s, just to figure out, rF2 is still the best ;)

I like even the Rf2 graphics style of the Nords more. The AC version looks so, dirty, murky whatever, so i get depressive while driving.

Yeah visually the AC is nothing too special. Very bland all in all.

Well I don't mind saying I've been having great fun on AC with its recent update.

I have to say though, given that their version is laser scanned I only had to adjust for about three corners and a couple of elevations.

The track here is something to be proud of.

I would say, arcadish, too ;)

Very nice comparison. The real driver is fighting for each bump and each corner, while the Ac driver is cruising on rails :D

That video is odd. The way the players wheel does not move when going over big curbing, either. I'd go so far as to wager they had FFB off. My G27 would never allow me to have wheel inputs so meticulously smooth and precise .

Also, the conditions that player is driving in are absolute optimal hotlapping conditions. Bags of grip. Having it set to "old" or "slow" makes the car dance about.

Shhhhhhh don't try posting anything informative or logic! People don't need to know most of the time the videos shown are run in Optimal track conditions (equivalent of heavy realroad in ISI-released tracks), and that there may be other factors to the recording that alter the outcome of what is shown.

the AC Nordschlieffe had my wife asking "what's that noise?" due to the G25 racket, I mean activity :), on the front straight. Definitely not perfectly smooth.
