I installed the latest 4.2 Thrustmaster drivers for the T500RS yesterday. I immediately noticed rF2 crawls when you select the Controller settings tab. It takes several seconds for rF2 to register any event, i.e. pressing a pedal or assigning a command. After noticing this, I tried build 660 and the same issue occurs. Something is not working well between the newest drivers and rF2.

Also on 789, a few seconds after getting on track rF2 freezes, the sound cycles as the image freezes, I am forced to force quit since the rF2 does not respond. This could be due to plug-in issues.

I have T500RS also and I don`t have this problem, this can bee USB driver error, look you windows Event Viewer/Windows Logs/ Application if you can fund Error or Warning witch is related to USB or rFactor2.
You can also use some third party software and uninstall all T500RS or USB drivers and do new install of them.

I tried what you suggested, I uninstalled the T500RS latest drivers, then reinstalled them after rebooting, rebooted again. I did not see any errors relating to USB, I do see some errors relating to WMI and this warning:

    "+System
    -EventData
    Detail

    3 user registry handles leaked from \Registry\User\S-1-5-21-2389986661-3484473977-1249797825-1000: Process 4156 (\Device\HarddiskVolume2\Program Files\Thrustmaster\FFB Racing wheel\drivers\amd64\tmInstall.exe) has opened key \REGISTRY\USER\S-1-5-21-2389986661-3484473977-1249797825-1000 Process 9964 (\Device\HarddiskVolume2\Windows\System32\msiexec.exe) has opened key \REGISTRY\USER\S-1-5-21-2389986661-3484473977-1249797825-1000\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer Process 4156 (\Device\HarddiskVolume2\Program Files\Thrustmaster\FFB Racing wheel\drivers\amd64\tmInstall.exe) has opened key \REGISTRY\USER\S-1-5-21-2389986661-3484473977-1249797825-1000\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\MediaProperties\PrivateProperties\Joystick\OEM\VID_044F&PID_B65D"

    Then also a VSS error.

All other games/SIMs seem to be fine, only rF2 has this huge issue.

    Voltaic,

I've had the same issue, only on build 770. Also I lost the shortcut icon to Control Panel on desktop.

Reinstalled older drivers, should read :- (2 TTRS.2013) Driver: 2.7.83.0 and firmware 41, in control panel properties, this cured the problem.

    Update:

After unistalling and reinstalling the drivers several times I decided to try and unplug my other peripherals one at a time and test rF2. It turns out when I unplugged my TH8RS the symptom is gone. I suspect the new drivers from Thrustmaster messed something up in my shifter and it affects rF2. I will try unistalling and reinstalling those drivers and see what happens. <---UPDATE: uninstalling and reinstalling the TH8 drivers did not resolve the problem. I have written Thrustmaster about this.

    @Sparkiy

I will try to do as you suggest. I tried once but the firmware remained at 4.2. Does that matter?

Hi, not sure but it's easy to revert to 41 using the firmware updater.

I uninstalled new driver 1st, then installed older driver, the when running the firmware updated it gave me the option to revert to 41.

    Hope that helps.

Seems to be only Rf2 that the problem exists as AC, iracing etc were ok.

Sparkly, I will try reverting as you say, I don't recall seeing 4.1 listed as an option. Do you have a TH8RS shifter connected?

Hi, yes, and a 458 add on wheel rim. Not using the pedals though.

I thought the update added support for the new T300 wheel, might be wrong.

I appreciate your input. I have tried reverting to the previous drivers (4.1) following instructions. I've done this about 10 times, the version remains at 4.2 and the rF2 issue persists. I will wait for Thrustmaster to get back to me, hopefully with a fix.

SUCCESS!!! Somehow I was able to revert back (4.1) after trying one more time. I then installed the TH8RS drivers and tested rF2. All the issues are GONE!
