No, im sorry, this is not what Im asking.

Right now, I can drive any race car with paddles or h-shift in Rf2.
Im sorry to ask this thrice, what will be the difference between LE and HE regarding gears shift :confused:

Is it really that difficult to predict?

Cars with the type of sequential transmissions that some of these got don't require lifting between shifts. So you can plant your foot and paddle away. As they are now, you need to lift to shift, because you should be using an H-pattern shifter and clutch.

Not everyone has a realistic H-pattern shifter and clutch pedal, so rF2 is set-up with an auto-clutch option and you can change the controls to anything you want, so you could use a sequential shifter on the old 60's cars if you wanted...or paddles. But you would have to lift to shift because they are programmed not to auto-blip or rev-match on shifting because the real cars didn't have that. Try ISI's Indy car to see how it works on a modern car.

At some point, the HE version of the specific cars with the paddle shifters should also have no-lift shifting deployed. This will give them an advantage (as it did in real life), so I gather Sdrenno does not want to use it for the LE versions.

My guess would be, that they will do LE with paddles...

And HE with paddles for Ferrari, Williams and McLaren (from round Hungary and onwards) and the rest would be H-pattern :) As in H-pattern you have to lift and blip, use the clutch for full sim experience... Not necessary, since ISI hasn't really made an extensive driveline model yet. As of now there's no real punishment if not doing proper gearchanges.
You might be questioning in east and I'm answering in west :p

    Great pics Andy !

You guys have to try this. Fill the tank with 150 litres, do 15-20 laps to get all tires with two boxes in white and three in yellow. That's the way I think these cars should be with new tires.

BTW: there is a new server from www.proyectosimracer.com.ar online all the time for 20 player running Silverstone good grooved. Enjoy

I think Sderenno confirmed that there will be reduced tire grip coming. Not 100% realistic, but less than current. I think that will be fine for the LE versions.

as I said, I will be without my steering wheel until September, after I would try these changes to physics:

    1) hard tires, with less wear and less deformation
2), and perhaps less efficient speaker (depending on tires)
    3) modifications to the engine, removing the tires grip, I wish the car in acceleration is as now

I don't think that the tire deformation is a question of rubber softness because the carcass construction should be the same

    Silverstone test

    Driving like crazy
    Qualy lap 1.32.9

Driving careful to keep the tires alive
150 litres, new tires, best 1.38.0
125 litres, all tires with a box in white, front left tire in yellow, 1.37.5
100 litres, all tires in yellow, left front tire with 2 1/2 box in white, rear left 2 boxes in white, right tires one box and a hald in white, 1.37.0 but started to make some mistakes because low grip.
    90 litres, i got hungry.

Added Link to V1.70 All cars package.

Work on updated physics will resume in September.

Thank you, Sderenno and F1 ASR Team! I believe you already found a good balance in physics with 1.70, and as mentioned, some tweaking would make it an even more awesome mod to battle for 1st.
Congrats and keep up the great work!

This is what rF2 is all about. I'm on edge nervous when I drive these cars and try to push them and myself to the point of crashing out! A sense of reality that if only even a glimpse, this might be what those cars and their drivers must have felt like! Same feeling I get with the 60's historic content with an added kick of speed and power! Thanks for this and your hard work it is very much appreciated!
