http://world3.rfactor.net/dl/rf2/exe/rFactor2_LiteBuild_772.exe Both our internal guys and you are testing this at the moment. Changes from 770: Fixed a typo where the Real Road Time Scale setting for qualifying was used for race and vice versa. Added exception handling for failed json config reads Fixed issue with crash on exit. Fixed MP Lobby not scrolling correctly after item was selected. Fixed launcher startup crash Please don't share yet, obviously, as if things aren't fixed or anything new was introduced, this won't be released. Treat as an unstable, but perhaps even more secretive! If you can, confirm the changes listed work, and that there's no new issues that weren't in 770, that's all we're asking. Thanks!
Well... What can I say. Still getting CTD when renaming the exe`s and trying 64bit. 32bit seems to work ok.
Only tried the 64bit version yet. No problems so far. Real road time scale setting seems to be fixed (tried at Mores). Btw nice improvement on the real road (Do skid marks now survive to the next session?). No problems with multiplayer list (What is the password? ). Never had any crashes with the new builds. My installation location is C:\rFactor2 or C:\rFactor2_BETA for "core" and F:\rF2Data or F:\rF2Data_BETA for "data" (no UAC trouble and UAC is activated like it should).
Tosch... Are you just renaming the exe`s for 64bit or have you had to alter anything in the launcher.config? Just curious...
@tjc I just rename the exe's, but I have my installation's at "c:\rFactor2" and "c:\rFactor2_BETA", not "c:\program files (x86)\rFactor2". Have never tried it but maybe windows don't execute 64bit exe's from the x86 folder.
Right, thanks for the info. I`m having real trouble getting rf2 to run 64bit. I`m renaming etc and had it working before in a previous build but it`s a no go for me just now, it just keeps crashing. 32bit works ok... I don`t have (and have never had) rf2 installed to my C: it always goes on my SIM drive which is D: Stumped with this one...
Haven't had any issues. Had a quick go with 32 and 64 builds. The real road still geys out if scripted weather isn't activated. But the more I look at it doesn't seem to be a bug but just a faster way to move forward with naturaly progressing rubber. Can confirm this is working: Fixed a typo where the Real Road Time Scale setting for qualifying was used for race and vice versa. Fixed MP Lobby not scrolling correctly after item was selected. Everything else I don't know as I haven't had the issues mentioned.
Yip... Before renaming: After renaming: Now that I`ve "found" the launcher.config I`ve also made - Use 64 bit:True but still crashing...
I can't reproduce this bug. Multiview on/off HDR on/off and on my side everything looks ok. Strange...
Strange indeed... I tested again just to be sure and I still have it. HDR on, FXAA on, everything maxed in sim. 32bit...
"Now that I`ve "found" the launcher.config I`ve also made - Use 64 bit:True but still crashing..." Where is the launcher.config?
Yeh Tim, the MSi afterburner info on the top right in the other screens was turned off for that last screen.
It`s in the userdata folder... it seems to just "be there" for some users but wasn`t for me until I went into the launcher > Advanced Tab > Additional Single Player Command Line Interface Parameters box and typed in -trace=100. Then it showed up for me in userdata. Hope that helps...
I`ve tested the other showrooms to check and found the following: The stationary showroom is fine: The garage showroom also has the bug for me: It seems to be both the showrooms that allow movement around the car have this bug for me so maybe it`s connected to the movement somehow?
