Do you know that this engine it's based on a Ferrari V12? yes, Matra took a Ferrari v12 and then developed the cylinder heads.

Cooper-BRM 1968
McLaren-BRM M5a 1967
BRM V12 P133 1968

There was a scratch made 1967 f1 mod with fantasy team names. It was called F1 Legends by BorekS. It was a totally from-scratch legal mod which came out just over 1 year ago for Race 07. The author has given carte-blanche permission for a modder to convert it to rF2 IF they take their time and do it well and let him in that you are doing it.

If anyone is interested in taking on this project, let me know I will talk with BorekS and get you in contact.

One of the most difficult parts of the conversion is already done- the tires.

 

Klass.. I do not have the rights for the sounds in the 71 cars,
sounds... by Wolferl....BRM sounds by Nil.
These are the people to ask, and yes i know it's hard to find these people.
if they were mine i would say ok, but maybe if you use them, it wouldn't be bad if you give credit for the sounds you use.
and if they want you to remove them, you should, but i don't see any harm if you give proper credit.

Thanks for getting back at me Jim. I know it was wolferl who did the sounds but I've been unable to contact him so far. I've sent emails at different adresses but never received a reply. Iv'e also been looking at different bigger simracing forums but he hasn't visited any of them since early 2013, which make me think he's not active in the community anymore. I guess I could go ahead and release if if I credit him, but i'm not sure if that's the right ting to do.

 

Im sure thats the right thing to do, you tried to find him, you didnt, and you credit him.

I decided to go ahead and release it. First post is updated.

 

After 5 laps at Jarama, had to shut down car and come back here just to say "Awsome".

Almost couldn't locate the car, but then looked into the Historics, clever trick getting it in there.

 

You definitely did the right thing.
There is no doubt as to who made the sounds.

Very different than MS10, it is in my list of favourites now, with the MS10 and Lola T280
