Does anyone use 3rd party gear indicators? I am looking at this - http://simracinghardware.com/product/gi-max-gear-indicator-complete/ But for £45 I think it's a bit steep. I'll never be a full time sim racer, I just do it for a bit of fun. Are there any cheaper options? I've seen this - http://www.symprojects.com/shop/gi-max-gear-indicator/ and it seems to be the same thing but without the fancy shell. Opinions?
Just a remark: both link connect to the same page with 24,90 to 28,90 as prices... I'm not the good person to answer, I'm using DashMeterPro on my phone for now. Later, will see!
Fixed! Thank you Yeah I had that for my Android phone but I didn't find any good options now I have the iPhone. And all I really use was the gear indicator, so I thought it would be cool to have an independent one.
Well I have the DFGT now, but getting the G27 next few days. Because I pretty much only look at the gear I'm in I'd love a massive display
Well there is iHud I believe it's called for your iphone or you could just use your old android and setup up dashmeter pro to have the gear selected only onscreen.
Yeah I will look into that. If someone came out and said that the one for £24 worked and did the same job I'd probably go for it!
old mobilphone or a small android or IOS tablet and iHuD or Dashmeter Pro and all is fine. in case of you have a old device we talk about around € 5
I made my own dashmeter with an Arduino Board and works perfectly with X-Sim and rFactor2. The prize is 25Euros, and you have gear, speed, fuel, rpms
