After follow the Track tecnology pdf file from ISI I get this... I tried to create a local plane for one segment of the track and add in the .scn file but the result was exactly the same... Instance=Racesurface_04 { ReflectPlane=(1.000, 0.000, 0.000, 19.395) MeshFile=Racesurface_04.gmt Deformable=True CollTarget=True HATTarget=True } Any clue? Thank you
I think you might have two things. Reflection plane is not aligned correctly and might you have assigned incorrect instances(objects), which should be reflected. Cheers!
Oh my god!! After so much time I get to know this. Where did you get this info from? For ISI: Would it be such a big effort to update Track technology PDF?
Re-checked all channels of various texture maps, I already have the "_wet". If we don´t add that at the begining track stays allways wet so that's the easy part to remember , create several diferent planes for several diferent values but i always have the same result as you all can see...
there is a documentation about it, a bit hidden but it's there http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.php/13211-rF2-Track-Design-Changes-to-Real-Road-Shader
Do you want me to be sarcastic? If you want to call me idiot, do it openly. I dont care because I probably think the same about you. You are trying to excuse that something so important as a change in realroad technology is admissible to have it in an old thread that has a link from the wiki. It just shows how bad ISI documents things. That's it. That labour, as many others is being gracefully delegated to the community. Why should I use something that is a bunch of disordered links that I would never recommend as a start guide for new track modders? What kind of order and structure has that wiki? When I see it I panic myself. enviado mediante tapatalk
Why does everything have to be an argument to you?! I made that wiki, thanks for the compliments. ANYONE is free too add anything they find or is that far too much effort for you?
Sorry for my attitude. I am just tired of everybody giving excuses so that ISI can continue elluding their reponsibility and pasing it to the users. That's it. Isi needs to properly document the software, especially modding resources. Anything else is not admissible IMO. BTW, Ive just read the post about new realroad shader. It seems very intuitive to explain reflections, texture channels, alpha channels and how they combine together with just plain text. Probably making a pdf with some pictures that would better illustrate what is pretended to be communicated would have been a good help. Too much effort I guess. It is much better to have the audience reading over and over the same paragraph until inspiration arrives. Yours and other's good will is remarkable and admirable but a huge waste of time IMO. enviado mediante tapatalk
In the absence of the documentation... we can either whine and moan about it, or do something about it. My way of doing something about it is finding lots of links which explain some of the frequently asked questions in modding.
In the absence of ISI'S commitment with modders and a good and solid modding documentation, we can keep maintaining the actual crappy and inefficient learning system or ask to ISI as community that appropriate modding tools and tutorials are required. enviado mediante tapatalk
*sigh* I have had enough.... constant negativity and putting nothing of a positive nature towards rfactor 2. As with many already... welcome to my ignore list!
It will be a relief to stop getting your useless replies for not calling them something worse enviado mediante tapatalk
Just to informe that I still have the problem and if you both do not want or can not help so please don't spam the topic. Thank you
You asked me via PM about this stuff and I replied you with infos, links, documents, graphic schemes and wikis. No further replies by you after that. Even though all this material was ALREADY available in the forum, I spent a bit of my time to collect that data for you, and you're still here moaning about lack of support/documentation. That's pretty disappointing mister. I have to be honest.
Are you following that way? http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.php/3840-Problem-with-Wet-Surface?p=47311&viewfull=1#post47311 http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.php/3840-Problem-with-Wet-Surface?p=47435&viewfull=1#post47435
You have to give reflectPlane to objects to be reflected, not surface to be reflecting. http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.php/3840-Problem-with-Wet-Surface?p=47524&viewfull=1#post47524
