Modding is very much alive actually, for rf2 also, but not much demand for road cars. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
Not. But modding is very difficult these days! The platform with the best modding-tools will win the race! Otherwise the game with the most content will be the most sold.- simple and clear. Sadly a modding tool which makes 3dsmax and such obsolete seems too heavy to develop by such a small company like ISI....
For road cars go drive AC. Loads of road cars. Great feel too. Rf2 will be always about race cars. Until of course, conversions of NFS and other arcades appear but expect cr*ppy physics there.
Go drive AC for Road Cars is not an answer, i want Road Cars in RF2. Race cars are fun but Road Cars are as much or more. The Panoz is a very good car but is a little different to what we are used to. I would like to see a small compact car, a sedan, a sports car and a supercar made by ISI. Would be a great addition to the game and would be helpful for modders.
Is this a legit, scratch made mod, or a conversion with permission? I have no idea so I'm asking. Author says on the download page that it has been made with tech data from some Ferrari engineers handbook or something, which is interesting. I've just tried it and its very fun to drive, does feel very "road car like", albeit a super high performance road car. Being that I've never seen anything about it before, I'm worried about the model being taken from another game or something.
The Ferrari Challenge is an illegal rip. Sadly a pretty brilliant one, but still a rip. I'd love to see an older Porsche 911 or a Lotus Elise. The kind of car that would do well on the occasional trackday and also fit on the public road tracks we already have.
Their DL section has a few, in fact they are hosting/sheduling Endurance Races with known ripped mods.
FVA, it's really obvious when you see it. Someone posted a video of it in the community videos thread. They may have taken it down though once it was pointed out that the content was ripped.
