Thank you Guybo for your tutorial! I got it to work for Long Beach. These tracks would be for naught offline without this modification. Will try some others.
No problem, I'm glad I could help I thought of the same thing with a BT Sync folder for tracks that we tweak, but some of the tracks are either from private sources or rips from other games. Too many people at the ISI forums bitch about rips from other games and some of the conversions aren't done very well either, so I didn't create the BT Sync folder. If the IS forum didn't have people like durge, we could be more open and we'd all benefit, but unfortunately the wrong people get banned from the forums and we all suffer for it. It used to be that we could do this sort of thing at NoGrip but it has the same problem (and person) and NoGrip is useless now. If anyome knows of another forum where we could do a project like this, let me know.
Really??!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I love this track to death but was never able to drive it against the AI; finally I can!! Thanks man, you're my hero!
Exactly what I did. Ran LB last night, and Mid-Ohio is on the docket. Thank you for the instructions. As for the 2nd and 3rd corners, there are some invisible objects at the apexes of those turns. They have launched me in the past also. I documented them to Doug and he is going to look into them when he gets back from vacation.
Those big red letters E are hardly invisible. They are decals wich protrude a bit from the wall, and should be made seperate instance so they can be set non-collidable.
It's not new, just a quick fix to have the AI avoid hitting the wall. I checked it out a bit more now and tweaked it a bit, so it won't go to far over curbs anymore during position fights. It's also well over a second faster now, and pit in will now be smooth. Here is newer one if you can be bothered to pack it again (sorry).
I created the file and attempted to add it using MAS2 and got an "error during cut operation." I could not find any reference how to correct this. Thanks, Beans
I did it with the MidOhio Track 2.0 and it's versions and it worked perfectly. Thanks for your help, Guybo!
posnan 1.01 update & indy a.i I tried updating the new mas file for posnan 1.01 update so that the indy cars would run road config, but no luck. I can get them to use the right wings for ver1.0 ,but not the updated ver 1.01... thank you for the help.
Just replace the original two .MAS files with those from the 1.01 update when you create a new component, and ofcourse the .ini file must be placed in those 1.01 update files.
Aha! Even my old shriveled up self was able to do this. If in this day and age you can still teach an old dog new tricks, then anyone can do this.
I'm not sure if this was directed at me, but if you mean the AIW file then yes, it's still mostly your work anyways. Thank you for giving us street circuits, I had most fun in RF2 at Las Vegas.
