write up says tyres best used with no more than 6-7 degree slip. How can I tell if this is the amount of slip I am driving with?
Anybody else loosing FFB in teh RC configuration? I feel it in the oval configurations, but I tried it out on Long Beach and teh FFB was completely dead.
Congrats ISI !!! Now I must endure the pain of being stuck at work till 10pm !!! Omfg reading all the posts is making this Way to painful I'm clock watching Tic Tox Ahhhhhh
Im having issues with cars disapearing in the distance on the oval. Can only see the tops of the cars. I am also getting blown away on the oval by the AI @95%. I am getting pissed off. Tire pressures seem low to me also. They should also be staggered with the right side running higher pressures on the oval config.
Is anyone else having trouble restarting the car after a stall? Specifically, after a spin then a stall. If I stall in the pits or garage area, I can restart the engine just fine. However, if I spin out into the 'kitty litter' and stall, the car simply will not restart. I also stalled on the start of a formation lap online, would NOT restart, and then the server bumped me (so I don't know if I couldn't start the engine, or if I was just disconnected at that point.) In other cars the starter button never fails to turn the engine back on, but it just doesn't seem to be working on the DW12. Other than that little hiccup though, this car has surpassed every expectation I had for it (which was very high anyway). Definitely the best thing ISI has produced yet, and IMO the best thing in any sim to date.
Oh, yes indeed I did. You can tell because the car wants to turn left, LOL. No, it's definitely my driving. I'm not adapting to the slight understeer of the oval setup very well. The road setup, on the other hand... OMG! Run these cars at Mid-Ohio (no chicane for Indycars) for an insane video treat! Be aware that AI is significantly slow at the keyhole and carrousel.
ISI throws IMS and DW12 at us And the whole community rejoices Prepare for lots of head nodding while going even 4-wide.
Can I ask how you are able to see each individual lap like that? Thanks. I am doing just that Ronnie. LOL
Fair play, didn't look at OP just dropped in to give compliments, then thought I'd best mention it in case
What I find a bit odd though is the highest pressure availabe is 27.6 or somewhere around there. I would think they would run much higher pressures than that. I could be wrong though. Have to read up on it.
Here is my better than default but still not great setup. I did not make this but it is the one I used in the video. ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d0M6gA1iUuc ) Im sure others will post some solid setups soon. Better yet jump in the servers and ask for them. lol Edit: Like I said, someone will post a better setup. Thanks Tim. http://rfactor.net/web/rf2/cars/dallara-dw12-honda-and-chevrolet-indy-car/
My guess is the car doesn't have an onboard starter. You can start I'm the pits, as I'm assuming thatsvlike getting a push start or your "crew" attach thevexternal starter. Out on track though, you are stuck if you stall it. It's the same for the fr3.5, f1 cars, etc.
Picked one of the INDY cars from the menu and took it for a spin, very enjoyable to drive, nice and easy to approach. I'd even go so far as to say its one of the best cars in RF2 along with the GT2 cars based on my first impressions right now ! Negatives for me, I found the default FFB with the G25 to only really work well at high speed, at lower speeds grip levels and braking loads don't seem very clearly conveyed. Low speed corners the rear end grip seems a bit unpredictable but its far more controllable than other cars in RF2 and in general its very stable indeed! The car and config I tried felt very much like something out of game stock car which is awesome as I love how the cars feel in that , I think this car will be fantastic to drive with the DK2 ! Good job ISI !
Right click on the person in the laptime list, it then shows you all their lap and sector times. Right click again to get back to the normal view.
