Is this something that can/will be fixed, or is this an rFactor problem? I love this plugin, but it's not very useful to me due to my inability to drive...
I don't think it will be "fixed" as there is little to fix. After all the Delta time is displayed compared to your best lap, which should ideally be accident free ;-) at least after 2 or 3 laps.
True. The delta time going haywire on a lap where I crash doesn't matter one bit, seeing how the lap is already ruined. There is nothing useful to compare on such a lap.
I wonder if someone can help me. Using the stock Civic at Zandvoort, the time works back on sector time, so example when I cross the line it starts off at 46secs (1st sector split) back to 0ish when you cross the 1st sector split, thus meaning you can't see where you're gaining or loosing time in the corners. Anyone come across this before?
Hi, did you download the zip file posted here? http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.php/19517-Delta-Best-plugin-for-rFactor-2 If so, did you read the README.txt file in it? It contains complete instructions on how to install. Here's part of the instructions copied and pasted from the readme:
Not sure if it's the same version of Zandvoort, but I could reproduce the problem. I suspect this is a bug in the track (conversion?). The plugin tracks the best lap by recording the partial time for every position on track, expressed in meters from the start/finish line. It seems that for this track the rF2 engine sends the plugin somewhat random number of meters from start/finish line along the lap. Don't know how to handle that really, unless we can contact who converted/made that track.
@Cosimo thanks for your work and you can also add information on fuel consumption to your plugin? information on the time and fuel, would be perfect for me.
No luck. I actually stopped working on the rF1 version of this plugin because I have not seen much interest and honestly I don't find rF1 that exciting to work on. My experience started with rF2. Going back to rF1 seems such a step backward. Maybe I'll get to it one day.
Doesnt really make a diffrence trackmap is fully customizable, so you could reduce it to fuel only as well. If anything delta best should be implemented into trackmap, but there is no harm on having multiple plugins running.
