United Sim Racers- Season 1 finale- Le Mans 1 hour race- fill the grid!

Fellow simracers,

On 27th of April is our season finale event in legendary Le Mans.

Plan is to race this as 1 hour race with 24h day/night transition.

We are looking for interested drivers to fill the grid with us. Last time when we co-operated with SR4L we had a 16 cars grid in Nordschleife. I want to do even better this time!

hm, maybe too late, but better late than never
I would like real challenge. what about 2,4h (144min) instead of ordinary 1h sprint/mid race?
if there are worries about surviving of the grid I would accept decreased damage
and I would also be able to start sooner

Although I would like to try this one day, you are right about this suggestion coming too late this time around. 1 hour race is our longest race this season and I believe it provides plenty of challenge.

I'm in to try endurance(ish) race when wet weather is better implemented for example.

I'm going to stick to my plan this time. I believe it's what most want at this stage. I hope you find enough fun factor from this 'sprint' race also

Tried 2AM-3AM time here and it had pretty good athmosphre I think there weren't any trackside lights on (?) but headlights gave plenty of light imo.

I forgot time acceleration to X10 so I still have to test the transition with X24.

Tried x20 with 20 AI on the server the other day, X25 should work fine in the span of 1 hour. I did 10am start time, seemed to work well. Did this with my old league in rf1, worked well, so i dont see any issues

I tried 1 hour race, awesome experience!

I started 2:00 AM with 25X acceleration (no option for X24 unfortunately). We have to decide which time we want to start, maybe 8 AM or 10 AM...any thoughts?

I managed to do 14 laps but 15 should be possible. Tyre wear with X1 was pretty low: my tyres were over 90% all...maybe we should try X5 tyre wear or not?

I drove with G4 69 (wider tyres) and managed to lap just under 4:15... any good with this model?

 

Maybe we should use the real life starting time? Afternoon. Exact time doesn't really matter but wikipedia says "Since 2009, when the race took place over 13–14 June that year, it starts at 15:00 local time (13:00 GMT)."

Tire wear I don't know... Depends on car. The car you are driving is very kind to tires, but the G6 will have heavier wear on the rear tires. I think we should keep it at x1 just like we done the whole season. Or we could force one mandatory pitstop. There's a lot of fuel to carry the whole race otherwise.

I don't know which models that will be available but league site says "G4/G6" so I guess all models. And in that case, your G4 69 will be nowhere I remember ~4:04 with the 67 model, and under 4 minutes with the G6.
