fiddled with the texture sharpening -good option but would be much better if it excluded the cars, e.g cars stayed at the graphical level of option settings I tried all settings, I have put my setting back to auto - is this dynamic / variable ? or level 3 or 4 ???? would be nice if this was a slider in the UI , it really helps fps for people with lower end pc's & actually can look nice with a slight blur on track/surroundings providing cars are nice & sharp good option to be included though (although again-hidden in the .ini where most will not look )
Not only smoke. Almost every effect, dust, sand is just a bit in front of the tyres when it happens. I confirm that happens here aswell.
Just wondering if anyone else messed around with this and what their impression was. I tried it in 629 and also in 649 and it seems to not look as good as alt-m to me, no matter what setting i tried. Now I do do a separate install for the test version however I share the data folder between both installs. That might be what is messing me up. Also Tim or maybe Joe C, am I correct in assuming setting 5 is the same as what alt-m did?
I experience the same as you, none of the options seem to look as good as Alt/M does in B590. Could be imagination though, but it seems as if it has effect on some parts of the circuit like wire fences and such, but not for items like white lines. (which are decal objects in the tracks I tested btw, and not painted texture lines)
Devs decided to release 660, which should fix most of the 649 finds. If not, please post in the public technical forums and I'll collect them up. Thanks.
