Hi Guys Like a lot of people here I run RF2 offline, and the Panoz is just the type of "occasional trackday" sportscar that I wouldn't race against anyone else in real life either. It seems a car made just to drive on the limit against yourself. So, let's compare laptimes here? I'll try this weekend on Poznan, Croft, Mores and maybe Sebring (which is owned by the Panoz Motorsport company). Will be curious to see what times others are posting.
I can warmly recommend http://rf2.gplrank.info Laptimes with all cars and tracks (though I suspect panoz hasn't been entered yet.)
Deak, because I keep my gaming PC very unclutered, and a Phyton runtime environment seems kind of just baggage if only needed to create this one file. Besides, I actually like matching people I know from a forum or real life, not "anonymous" worldwide rank system.
ye i believe rF2 community is mature enough not to cheat, so why not here. Hehe AI seems to be absolutelly incapable to drive this thing
Perhaps someone creates a rubber file as a starting point for all. Can even tell at which lap the pb came (lap10 or lap 500, quite the difference)
It does not run in the background. You double click a file called "create_file.py" and it generates a new "career.blt" file and that's it. Go to the rank site and upload the file. Simple and noninvasive. You don't have to take notice of other "anonymous" users. You can just compare yourself and those you know and wish to compare against in a much more organised fashion. If you haven't tried it.....don't knock it.
You don't need to install anything for laptimes for rank site. just place the file 'RFactorCCH2CareerBLT' in your player folder, run it and it generates a career file. That's all,can even remove both files after that. Go to the rank site, sign up and then upload your career file times. Daves file....http://rfactor.gplrank.info/create_career.zip
Racerank is THE place to compare your offline times against other drivers. Most of them are on these forums. Besides, Uwe (the guy who made the site) is a very nice guy.
I made a utility for rF1 several years ago. I should look into making a new one for rF2. My old rF1 util even took care of uploading to the site. You just double clicked on the icon after your session and your records would upload without any user interaction.
don't forget liveracers servers. everyone on same rubber. results auto captured and reported. occasionally run / chat with others on at same time. ideal solution IMO.
