Nuno thank you very much for your effort and sharing, it is really appreciated Your road texture generator is absolutely amazing!
You have to open Nuno's huge PSB file in Photoshop. There you can select the layers you want and save out to JPG or PNG or whatever your 3d package needs. View attachment 18320 P.S. More than ~8 GB RAM is recommended...
As Cuthbert said the generator is nothing more than a huge PSB file where you have several layer groups with textures edited by me that can be used together to get a final ingame texture. The purpose is to get a Main Road texture. The PSB file have 3.4GB due to quantity of layers and the resolution provided (2048x4096) I think I've seen that kerb texture somewhere... Keep it up
Yes woodee its possible but, to be honest, they will be too much textures if we add all the possibilities. 6 main track colors, each one with left and right repaired spots and each one with 6 diferent colors too, etc... 6(3x6) + 6(3x6) + 2 type lines + damage tarmac + grig in all colors with or without repaired spots + etc... Gives a funny equation... and hundreds of combinations...
Would you be kind enough to split up that psb file into several psd files so those of us with Gimp and a mere 8GB of RAM can see them?
Yep I can do that but, probably I'll only be able to start working on that next friday. I'll try to use another method and if it don't work as espected, I'll split it.
For those interested using another technique but, achieving the same result, I was already able to back to PSD format... But you'll be surprised when you see the new size.... I'll upload probably yet today I'm learning photoshop too...
Upload will end in 20 minutes. As the first one you can download file here Note: you must be registered. PSD format with 1.1GB. 3 times smaller doing the same thing! A small demo to help Enjoy
Thanks, it looks good, but there are two things: I've registered but haven't received the confirmation e-mail I tought painted lines were supposed to go on a separate material/object so they have less grip than the tramac.
