My wish is for the multiplayer dedi server to have an option to force a pitstop (or multiple) and set the time period during which it can be done. The UI would include: How many Forced Pitstops? (drop down with 0,1,2,3,) Earliest Pitstop Wndow 1? (option greyed out if user chose 0 above) (drop down box from 0 min to 120 min in 5 min increments) Latest Pitstop Windown 1? (option greyed out if user chose 0 above) (drop down box from 0 min to 120 min in 5 min increments) Earliest Pitstop Wndow 2? (option greyed out if user chose 0 above) (drop down box from 0 min to 120 min in 5 min increments) Latest Pitstop Windown 2? (option greyed out if user chose 0 above) (drop down box from 0 min to 120 min in 5 min increments) Earliest Pitstop Wndow 3? (option greyed out if user chose 0 above) (drop down box from 0 min to 120 min in 5 min increments) Latest Pitstop Windown 3? (option greyed out if user chose 0 above) (drop down box from 0 min to 120 min in 5 min increments) If the user does not cross the pit timing line during the Pitstop Window he/she will be DQ'ed. A message will come up in the chat box when the Pitstop Window is open and than another when closed.
Good point. I like forced pitstops. It's more exciting and you can get into the pits and repair after a crash (hope less of DNF guys). +1
Yep, this one has been suggested before and I fully support the need for pit rules and windows. Both online and offline.
I support the idea, however I've been doing increased Fuel usage to force at least 1 pitstop, say 2x or 3x. Makes little difference to the game (unlike 2x tyres and so forth).
I remember these from the Grand Prix series. Those games still have plenty of useful gameplay options that aren't explored today.

+1. I would say that many leagues have used this option in their champs. Despite it is not difficult to check, it is quite time consuming. I wonder why so much effort was put to implement nascar rules before implementing the most common rules for standard racing, especially tire change obligation and mandatory pit. It has been a while since we visited this request... I think that it would be nice to have this detail in the game, but a work-around that I have used is to adjust tire wear so as to make the car difficult to drive at speed after a given time. Still, it would be nice to be able to simply check a box and add the required pit stop elements... Just to be clear, there are currently no simulated race games that challenge the supremacy of rFactor 2. I own most of them, but rarely use them... I have not used the iRacing game, so that could be a good but more expensive challenger. Well done ISI...
Just to remind you, in (the very outdated) Race07 it is possible to set a forced (mandantory) pit stop in the dedicated server settings...Wich means, it seems, it`s not rocket science.
