I had a similar issue. I had a mixed lineup (URD EGT mod, some ISI cars and the Mazda 787b) and most of the cars ran out of fuel, or quit. When I stopped for fuel, I saw an AI car driving through the pit lane and even though it stopped, it didn't took off again and eventually disappeared to its garage. Another one just kept on driving and ran out of fuel. Besides that I love the new Silverstone! EDIT: Another thing.. At the end of the pit lane (GT layout) there's a car that gets stuck when it comes out of its garage and blocks the other cars.
My frames fluctuate a lot on the new version. They jump from 30s to 70s depending on sector. Anyone else having this? My driver is the current non beta AMD. 13.12 I think. On a different PC currently. When I updated to the latest build, I used auto update and all seemed to go well. Possible I need to do a full uninstall/reinstall? I should mention I have tested with the ISI Vette as well as the URD Vette Thanks
Many Thanks for the update ISI, loving the detailed changelog! Just did a quick FRAPS test, obviously could'nt use the same replay so just the AI from 15th on the grid, it gives a rough idea of the extra FPS I've gained anyway: v1.01 Frames: 8117 - Time: 130000ms - Avg: 62.438 - Min: 38 - Max: 79 v1.14 Frames: 9379 - Time: 130000ms - Avg: 72.146 - Min: 49 - Max: 104
I was'nt replying directly to you, as at any track with more detailed areas you will get fluctuations in FPS at certain parts of the track, that is to be expected and not out of the ordinary. If your FPS goes to 30 then you need to lower some settings.
IIRC the National pits need to be rebuilt. You will get lower FPS there at the moment. That's why that layout isn't available yet.
I don't know if this is cure for your problem, but anyway Noel was lately discover relations between next two parameters: Max Framerate and Steady Framerate Thresh which you will find it in PLR file. Make it so: Max Framerate="60.00000" and Steady Framerate Thresh="0.00000". With this settings i get much smoother gameplay(stuttering is almost gone) and higher minimum FPS and is by far the biggest improvement of any settings i made in the past. http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.p...LE)-massive-rF2-performance-increase!!!/page6
Most consistent and best performance with a 290 on 14.1 here, I get with the feature "sync by software" under video options. Due to restrictions by the overall performance I aim for 60 fps on triples and noticed it when testing.
hi tim, so checked my settings for practice now. there is no laps limit (see screenshot). i drive alot in practice and never had such a problem anywhere. so i drove again today, after 30 mins all the cars stopped in the pits. most of them infront of their garage, some inside. some are still with running engine, so it seems, they are not out of fuel. i have the fuel problem in le mans mod, but their the AI's are stopping on track and all are back in garage. but here, they drive into pits, stop in front of their garage and that's it... i also noticed, for some AI's the laptime was still running. see the second attachment. hope that helps a little bit. Did you uninstall 1.01? It sort of looks like there are cars in the same garages as there are cars parked in pit lane, so the garage is doubled up, stopping cars leaving? The 1.01 version of the GP layout had a limited number of stalls. Thanks for replying.
Nice update, though I am surprised that the pit stands are still not in there. Also, why is it not in the Latest Official Content list above?
Strangely, I see somewhere between a slight and no performance increase but then, I never really had a problem with 1.01. Maybe it's a SLI thing. Moderate high graphics settings, reflections off, Multiview ON, HDR OFF, driving by myself and I get an average of around 150 fps with 1.01 and maybe 160 fps with 1.14. I ran about 5 laps of 1.01 first to remind myself what it was like then deleted that and installed 1.14. I dunno, it felt exactly the same.
Reflections maybe... I can't run HDR because of its incompatibility with Multiview (framerate plummets to 30).
Last night I tried to make a benchmark (using fraps) between two versions. Benchmarks were done at the start (20 opponents), starting from the last position and on the second lap. In total I made 3 benchmark of 60 s each, covering the entire track. here are the results:

Start 2nd lap 2nd lap

min max avg min max avg min max avg

v1.01 49 71 61 64 79 22 67 87 77

v1.14 57 79 66 61 75 69 67 87 77

It seems clear that the results are very close. I do not know if it's my problem, or depends only on the hardware configuration and video settings.
Looks like your system wasn't really struggling with v1.01. In that case, you're less likely to see a big improvement. Still, 16% more at the start (min) is a welcome improvement I'd say, at a time where you need every single fps. In contrast, I noticed a 40-50% improvement on my dinosaur rig myself in the scene Viewer (NOT ingame).
