Tosch's work looks very good, as always. If ISI would implement DX11 it would look amazing. Thats the main difference between rF2, AC and PCars; the directx versions and implemented features, specifically lighting methods.

Amazing work. Really awesome tosch. It would be nice if something similar could be done for the rims/ the rim shader.

I just put the icing on the cake. The "real" work has been done before (and will be done) by Apex modding.

I can "polish" the rims. Even chrome is not a problem, but it would require some work on the uv mapping for some cars. The inner part of the rim shouldn't have any reflection at all (black alpha), but that's not possible in some cases, because the inner part rim makes use of the same area of the texture as the outer part of the rim. It just looks funny (and completely wrong) when you look at the rim from the side and it has a perfect reflection everywhere.

Yes I understand. But "the rim thing" would be just the . on top of the i. This mod is really the best one imo. Thanks for reply.

Just had a quick physics beta test. It's AWESOME! The new default setups are pure fun to drive and each car has it's own fine refined character. Excellent! :D

Just joking off-course can't wait for the new build. Thanks all involved.

edit: @Yoss dunno if it's possible but would you consider doing the mirror adjustment thingy in the new release?

in the futur may be yes but a lot of people don't seem to be in love with this dirt thing on window .
may be it's better to add dirt layer on the body i think

Make it optional. Some people may not like having their cars dirty. :p

Anyway after seeing Tosch's take on how appearance can be altered in rF2 using some tricks I'm really curious if on the same day next year I will be saying that all cars look like this on default from ISI or better just from pure utilizing more advanced shaders and engine enhancements. I'm not sucker for eye candy graphics but I strongly believe the more "right" look of everything that's on screen and closer (prettier) to real life, the more immersed we become into the sim.

Also I would like to see next version in action after hearing that it's so good. ;)

I can confirm it's really good :) and still getting better and better.
Physics are very beliveable (beliveable because I never drove a real GT3).
And not every spin end more or less after 180 degrees rotation as I notice this on some other mods .

Can a progressive dirt accumulation layer be made? Like NR 2003 or iRacing have?

Quick light test with Some1's great light shader at dawn (the most critical time). For everyone who implements the shader, make sure to use a high "Alpha Sort Offset" (for cars 5 - 8, I used 8 for the flare and 7 for the glow) to avoid blending problems with other alpha materials (windshield, head light glass).

When you say that, you mean ingame luminescence? It is critical.
