I would definitely put my vote in for the current generation V8 Supercars. The "Car of the Future" has yet to be recreated in a sim and would love to see all 4 manufacturers (Ford, Holden, Nissan and Mercedes).
Trust Murray to get it wrong as usual - fast forward to 4.04min & you'll see Cleland with his blood up giving Soper the middle finger salute ..& Murray says: "I want to be first! says John Cleland"
I would love to see it also, although it will be named 'The New Generation V8 Supercar' (from Car of the Future) from next year, will include the Volvo and some aero changes to the Nissan, I actually wouldn't mind seeing next years being developed than seeing this years.
Agreed. I'll also add my voice for a DTM series and a BTCC (maybe the '96 cars http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1996_British_Touring_Car_Championship_season )/
we only make free mods. We do not make payware mods. So anything you see from us in modding is always free. If people want to support us, they can donate to WRS, aside from that, we don't charge people for mods, it is not only our hobby, but a means for us to show what we can do and try to get paid work elsewhere. So don't worry, you won't see payware mods from us.
It's awesome seeing some of the early V8 Supercars get some lovin'. When I think of vintage touring cars.....I immediately think of the fire-breathing Ford Sierras, the sleek BMW M635 (JPS) and the quirky Rover Vitesse. Group A cars are probably my favorite touring cars out of all of them. The mid '90s BTCC cars were pretty wicked too. Quintessential late golden era touring saloons. The Volvo Estate (BTCC) is very unique.
Heres a couple that would be great to add to ATCC. One not necessarily a touring car but who cares, it was an outstanding car world wide and the other was how we say, a little different than the road car but still held the qualifying lap record at Bathurst in its day.
Actually the Mazda RX7 was used in ATCC. It started in 1980 with Peter McLeod and ran up to the end of 1986 being used by several drivers. It took several years but in 1984 all Mazda drivers switched to the RX7 leaving the old RX3 model which was used previously. I have a model of that RX7 but it was done years ago and needs to be updated or just re-done to our new standards. Not sure if/when that will happen though so don't hold me to it.
