Thanks for the info, Tim. Your communication is always appreciated. Sent from my tablet. Get the Tapatalk app today and you can too!
You guys need tester ? It takes all so much time that it seems to me there is to less man power and if i can contribute anway or help let me know. I would like to do it if it makes things faster.
I think he said, somewhere, that all vehicles going forward will have chassis flex. I will try to find where.
Yes thx for your status updates Tim. I appreciate the effort from ISI to give us a new car during the xmas holidays! !
uneducated question time: Will the ISI Meganes be close to the Civic? or are they too powerful? If they're close enough I'm gonna edit some Talent files to make them closer and hopefully on par with the Civic!
IIRC, the Megane Trophy car that ISI made is in the 350 horsepower area, with a 3.5 litre engine. Probably much lighter than the Civic. I'd guess a lot more downforce. Mid engine and rear wheel drive too... I remember seeing people making comments like "it's an open wheeler with a Megane shell over top", which kinda makes sense in some ways.
Very compact, lightweight vehicles, short wheelbase and much power make these vehicles interesting, especially the honda with the possibility to correct and control extreme slip angle's with the help of the accelerator pedal and the extreme torque on the drive axle, in this case, a front-wheel drive in the honda is the better choice.
PD: what a great year by the way. If anyone it's non familiar with this competition, try to check out this year's review (several hours). And at this moment it still have the greatest commentarist i ever heard: Ben Edwars (making a perfect duo with Tim Harvey).
Yes, is awesome. And having the Honda in a modern sim, it makes me so so happy. Tim, Is there a realistic chance of having more BTCC modern cars/tracks in Rfactor 2? I hope that Honda Civic have a huge succes and other teams bring this possibility.
I will be very disappointed if the Silverstone National layout doesnt accompany the BTCC car. It would be a real BTCC track layout to race on. Getting an updated Loch Drummond was nice, but it would be downright silly not to have the national circuit.
It won't. We've been waiting for data that there is literally no point touching Silverstone until we get back. There could be much of a new track made just in the time we would waste.
There's two benefits to getting 1 car: - Other manufacturers see it and are more eager to participate (perhaps at a more financially viable level for us). - We are able to see a sales spike, crunch numbers and know whether the NEW sales (existing customers don't bring us additional revenue from content, remember that) are good enough to propose further paid manufacturers.
Brands is a no at this point, but I am going to re-visit UK manufacturers and tracks once the Civic is out to see if they are more interested in negotiating something financially viable (see post above).
For me, the Megane (and any higher downforce car) feels a bit lifeless compared to something you can 'teeter' on the edge of adhesion and really feel it there, like the Civic. I'm not a fan of downforce. Also, to note, no release today as per my earlier post.
