Yeah I'm onto it, just a few little issues that have popped up I need to work around. Just remember, all good things take time
Some things I've noticed while working on a hdr profile for this beauty. - The racegroove mapping looks stretched. - The curbs and rumble strips have no specular reflection (specmap is BLACK_SPEC.dds) - Some parts of the road (Racesurface24 - 26) are not included in the the reflection mapper (refmap0). I have modified some textures to work better with my hdr settings. If you are interested i can upload the files. Maybe you will find one or two useful things.
Don´t know if this was mentioned before and I didn´t read the whole thread (or it was too long ago!), but I always had the feeling that this track had extremely (compared to ISI- tracks) less grip! Please take a look at it if you are not yet aware of it. Thanks and greets Pete
Dunno regarding less grip I just drove recently with Spark F1 and didn't get that feeling at all but I will check rubber setting but I think it even may have been green track and this was after doing about 500+ laps at Malaysia. I don't have Motec plugin functioning with 64 bit yet so I can't run numbers...
I have no idea about track building, but would it be possible to integrate this track into the Nordschleife Tourist? Then we would have a 24hour raceable nürburgring + nordschleife
Its not so simple as it first seems. Tourist and GP track are not aligned exactly same "north" direction, which will lead problems. Basically all objects in GP track needs to aligned invidually with Tourist. It's huge task and I'm not sure if author(s) are willing to do so big project.
Yes, I thought it would be a lot of work. The current nordschleife is nice, but nobody uses it for actual racing due to the tourist limitations. I hope we get this one day and can drive a 24h nürburgring with 200cars
Have a read http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.php/21015-Nordschleife-Tourist-v1-81/page26 Getting closer
Hi, I'm giving this a bump because now I also notice that the trackside objects have gone missing (likely after B770)? I have spectators floating in the air, lots of small detail objects gone... Running 32bit version, not sure if this is the known GMT issue?
I figured it out... If I have the AI drivers set for 21 (which is pretty much maxing out my RAM) then the track loads half-baked (sorry, didn't get a screenshot). If I load no AI in the race settings, and add them later via the in-session menu, it works all fine. So the issue seems to be that if you load a lot of AI while also loading the track some stuff goes wrong. The main grandstands were missing, the starter "tower" was missing... quite brutal. But no problem if you let the track load first, then add AI.
How much usable RAM do you have available? Just wondering since I have the same problem on 32-bit Windows
I've got four gigs, of which about 800 are used in idle operating system. I have an x64 system but running the 32bit version of the sim, on full load my GFX Memory will be used up to 2GB (all that's on the card) and normal RAM up to 3.8 Gigs.
I can tell you my Ram Usage with the Nord 24H Version & 103 AI: 7.5 GB and around 20% CPU Usage. Yes, I`m using x64. First I was sticking on x86, too... untill Max released his x64 Version of Trackmap ;-)
Then that comment was a bit redundant in helping our troubleshooting, seeing that you know you can use twice the RAM. Of course you aren't going to see the same problem that Blamed and I can reproduce...
Maniak, did you ever get the bugs sorted? I really want to drive this track in the next season of our league
