I can totally see why ISI didn't choose Orchard Lake. On some people's PCs, there is a magical data-link between any racing sim installed and the real-life world. What happens is that if a track does not happen to currently really exist somewhere on planet Earth, then the racing sim's physics will get all screwed up when the player tries to play on that track, and therefore the racing physics and the graphics, and the entire racing/gaming experience will become totally screwed-up and practically broken while playing those types of tracks (fantasy tracks - in this case Orchard Lake), and the only way to avoid that is to make sure that you only load/play on tracks which also happen to exist in real-life somewhere on planet Earth. Seriously though, it's sad that so many potentially amazing cars and tracks get avoided just because they haven't happened to be built in real life (or maybe just not yet). I'm sure ISI would have loved to go crazy on beautiful and high-fidelity (physics/track-modelling wise) rF2 versions of Orchard Lake, Essington, Lienz, Toban etc. but are forced to not go that route because it would garner less sales/interest/publicity because too many people's PCs' racing-sim-track-to-real-life-track alarms would go off. Real sad... As long as a track is designed to real-life, planet-Earth physics standards, there is nothing fantasy about the driving/racing modelling/physics/dynamics etc. of "fantasy" tracks. For all you know, that "fantasy" track may very well exist somewhere on Earth and you don't even know it! Or, for all you know, that very track - or something similiar - may very well get designed and built tomorrow, or next week, or next year! Such a shame.
Mastpalermo Great Video well done mate. Loved the music would love to be able to make these sort of vids.
I know a lot of people say rF2s sounds are really bad but the sounds in this vid are good IMO. shrug.
Sick, bro The front end really looks like a Ferrari 348 and a Toyota MR2 with a bit of Ferrari 355 Does anyone know why the fog lights magically disappear when you choose the headlights popped-up upgrade? They literally disappear as if they're not modelled. Is this a glitch?
I agree 100%. I hate almost all real-life tracks (I haven't downloaded Monza, Spa, Silverstone, etc) and I'm really bummed that ISI hasn't made fantasy tracks a priority for rF2. Loch Drummond and Mills Metropark are easily my two favorite circuits.
so rF1 has bodywork in mirrors? Another thing that rF2 doesnt have compared to rf1 or is that some mod?
Are you kidding? lol rF2 allways had body mirrors working. Random video to show you. Edit: i think i missed the point language mistake sorry!
In the .plr file there was a line regarding what appeared on mirrors. It is usually set to nothing or everything but the issue with everything is some vehicles when you do the "look back" you'll be staring at your headrest and not see anything. GSC for example has that option enabled. One persistent issue with gmotor is the side mirrors in cameras other than cockpit only function if you have the virtual mirrors visible.
