Nice Top Gear vid Steve! We need a clue for the mistake - only difference for me is the car's on the right-hand side of the track at the start - in the prog it always starts on the left?
Thanks guys, I thought the mistake was Clarkson says "The DBR9" but the Blancpain Aston Martin is a Aston Martin Vantage GT3 ??
Nice Video Valter. I just wish ISI would finally fix the color balance. Those reds are sticking out sooo much.. It can´t just be me?
I´ve add some effects, could be that. But yes, i allways tought that rf2 should be a bit less saturated. I will render the vídeo with diferent effects (ex.less red saturation) and post here when its done.
It´s not the video FX. I´ve noticed this many times before. Could be that the HDR is not quite where it needs to be yet, or some lighting setting that brings out that particular color so much. But it has been like this since Day 1 of rFactor 2 and IMO is not doing the look of the game any favours.
Welcome to my nightmare. Clipping reds. The HDR needs a re-work almost entirely. The models aren't colored improperly it is just a rendering issue.
To me it looks more like lighting issue, the engine asigns 100% lit area to places, so it looks like flat lighting, and that simply does not look good with any 255 color (fully saturated colors) A solution for that is whether avoid using such colors or rework lighting of the engine so it never is 100% (that is my theory)
In reality the red on the Marussia is somewhere between the original and your edit of it. http://flic.kr/p/cetWL1 In direct sun, it will look as bright as the unedited shot. But considering this was low light (wasn't in direct light, or midday for sure), evening in the sim, and is horrendously old compared to the time you're using it as an example, it's tough to know anything from it. I'm also not even sure HDR was on. At the time I took that screenshot, I think rF2 looked better with it off.
