I have also thought many times why there is no statement, no reaction to all the questions and when I did the survey about site leaders activity I found the answer. ARI... if we were continually paying customers then i think you would have a fair point. but i have realized we are not and have to go with the flow of ISI. Tim is often on here trying to answer all questions but does not have all the answers and is away working for ISI or other things and is not here every day. you will have to get use to this like the rest of us that have been here from the beginning.
Coops that is all ok but here we and rF2 have a problem and IMO it is not OK to leave this status since over 1 year unsolved and without a clear statement from ISI what they want do against this annoying situation. If ISI would say SLI with HDR is currently not supported or we have no idea what the problem is then it would be bad but it would be a clear message. But I can't find this statement anywhere. I can find exactly nothing what would help me ^^
Ah Ok ^^ do you have a link for me where I can read this ? This are the actual minimum and recommended Specs: http://rfactor.net/web/docs/what-are-the-minimum-specifications/ IMO SLI is not a exotic gfx feature it is state of the art technology and used in many for gaming optimized pc's. So IMO it is a very important Information for all people which are interested in rF2 or they will very disapointed on a later time point. Don't get me wrong I'm pro ISI and not against and I like my rF2. I don't say ISI must repair this but a clear statement how they will manage this in future is IMO a must and in case of it will not work in future it should be clear pointed out ! I saw it LONG ago in replies regarding SLI-issues - don't have the link for it sorry. However!! I just returned to say that I just found out that even Multiview without SLI causes errors when fired up using the new x64 - I didn't realize that untill just now.
No problem. The error you posted is new for me. But I have not tested anything with the latest unstable only with 767 and the 770. With this builds it was the same as with all before. I do some tests today with the latest unstable. If there is a bug I see this positive because something must have changed. We will see. I hope you can understand my point of view now better. This topic is for us (community) still unsolveable how it must feel for all the other people ? I was over a year patient because all the other important points but I think now it's time for ISI to do here something. First step IMO should be a clear statement if we can expect a solution. If yes the statement should contain a timeframe and milestones. If no it's done with the statement. Each community support to this topic is welcome.
@alpha-bravo and @Ari Antero hope I can help you to get the answer from ISI . there is a text right above the general forum: "PLEASE NOTE THAT STAFF MAY BE UNABLE TO RESPOND IN THESE FORUMS. CONTACT SUPPORT FOR A DIRECT REPLY." if you did not get the answer through the forum try the support directly. you can mention your posts in your ticket. I did the same with my problem with trackir and driver swap and I got the answer fair quickly, see my post http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.php/12894-driver-swap-and-TrackIR?p=257471&viewfull=1#post257471 but be prepared, the answer would not be satisfying for you. but it is another story.
Also remember to report actual bugs in the sub-forum intended for those, I just did so regarding x64 and MultiView
SLI works fine with rFactor2, if system can handle SLI you get GPU load +90% with both cards. SLI+multiview works fine too 32/64bit but there is no UI. SLI+multiview+HDR works also but with HDR you get too high fps lost +-50fps.
"May or may not work..." - many do not get increased performance from SLI. I have to try a clean B770 as I can't get my tripples to run using tge 64bit .exe when "MultiView" is ticked - at all! All other settings makes no difference, weird as some claim it works :/ But interesting that you also have a Zotac 780
@WiZPER I have 680's in Sli and have no issues with b770 & Multiview. I can only suggest a complete removal of Nvidia drivers & rf2 and start a fresh. Just for reference, I'm using Nvidia drivers 337.88.
Right, I'll have to try that, thanks. Just to confirm, you run the 64bit .exe too ? (renamed it to rfactor2.exe and replaced regular one)
