This is something I agree greatly with. Old cars belong to environments of their time. I never liked mismatching old and new, because they just don't go well together.

But according to wikipedia, Brabham team were using Goodyear tires only, 1966 season. No Dunlop. Is that correct?

No, it's not, they used both (according to our info). I know most stats sites say Goodyear. :)

Are there other F1 66 tracks planned ?
I know there's a modder doing one and if you're going to do it, he'd stop and do something else :)

There seems to be quite a bit of confusion here. The Brabham we are familiar with from GPL is the BT24. This was small and slim. The BT20 however was quite "fat".

It was also similar to the BT19 which has caused further confusion. In 1965 F1 cars used 13" wheels, but during 1966 there was a switch to 15" wheels. The BT19 started on 13" wheels but switched to 13" front and 15" rear during 1966. The BT20 always ran on 15" wheels front and rear. Brabham always used Goodyear tyres in 1966.

Thanks David. Do you know anything about rim sizes in relation to those tires?

While rF2 has 3 nice historic tracks, there is one problem, too:

Spa and Monaco are great drivers tracks, but they are very, very difficult, and since you have no optional "Shift-R" even for fun races, atrition is high, so it's difficult to find enough drivers for a race there, even in an established racing community.

Monza can produce great battles, but if you are not part of that battle, a race can become a bit dreary.

So I think, what is needed is an old track, that is a bit more varied than monza, but still great to race also for less experienced racers, where you have a chance to continue the race after a small off.

When I look back at GPL there are two tracks that fit this description perfectly: Kyalami and Watkins Glen. I think having those tracks in great quality in rF2 could increase the number of drivers for historic cars.

PS: Personally I have also always been a fan of the old Silverstone, too ;)

What a mess. The BT24 1967 have had used 15" diameter rims on front and rear but nothing about tires, just that Goodyear was in use.

Plus the Spark and Eve are 2 different cars with the F3, F2 and F1 variants. Most WCR60's servers are F3. The BT20 is one car and F1 only. Never thought of it like that.

Could you get us Mosport and Watkins Glen? :p Mosport didn't change the layout and is delightful on most cars, and Watkins is just a beauty with and without the chicane, long or GP. And it would unleash the Brabham!

Is it true that ISI plans to release 1 real GP car from every decade of GP racing from the 60's to modern times? There is already a 2010's car in the Marussia and a 60's car of course. F1 officially began in the 50's, can we expect a 50's GP car?

But i'd have to say that i find the old cars fun to drive even on modern tracks. While monza, spa, and the like were truly about speed there were many others that had some sharper corners and even hairins (rouen, zandvoort) so that many modern tracks aren't too "unrealistic".

And let me just say here that despite whatever realism shortcomings the isi brab has, it sure is fun to drive with imo a great "feel". WTG evetybody involved in bringing it life in rf2!

and otherwise, they still use historic cars now, so it is realistic in some way ;)

I have the W196, W196 Streamline and have options on several others. I just don't think they'd be popular enough to warrant the licenses on those others. Mercedes were very nice to me. Also, no idea of the timing for release.

    What about a 70's GP car? Maybe a 6 wheeled 70's GP car :-D
