The game looks terrible from the cockpit camera. Everything looks too bright, much worse than other cars.
Thx for this ISI - really good in many areas. I also have some stuttering issues with these and I must admit I have a hard time understanding how it could go and be released with the reflection bug that is so obvious. Some of the cars almost look like a cameleon in replays. Hope it gets sorted very soon because its a nice car other than that.
Mulero- I wonder if that's not from HDR? The dark cockpit and the light outside might be causing that? I don't use HDR and I don't get that effect
It is a problem with the HDR, with open wheel is practically imperceptible, with the closed cars is quite annoying, but the Camaro is exaggerated reaching hinder driving. In this thread explains more about this problem. http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.php/9326-Why-lighting-looks-different-from-cokcpit-view I did not get anything I have that is a problem of the game and ISI should fix it. And another HDR profile not is the solution because in the end we need a profile for each car in each circuit when the HDR simply should be an option to enable or disable.
@ Mibrandt - Last time I raised and pestered about this stuttering issue, which is also present in this vehicle and came about from the new shaders on the latest F2 & C6 I was simply told by TW to lower my graphic settings. Low shadow setting was a major problem for me however Medium or High run a lot better although still with some stutters on these 3 models. Work that one out. It is not a resource issue and I did pester some more however still no response back. Simply placed in the to hard basket.
I would love some "More Info" about this car, with some specs and technique recommendations. Also, racing the AI I noticed they shift on the yellow lights, and they were pulling away from me when I was shifting on the red lights. So I changed over and gained some time.
I installed and ran a few online laps at Malaysia with the Camaro last night and all I could say as I drove back into pitlane was...Wow!. The car is an absolute joy to drive. It's the best and most realistic handling car I have ever driven in all my years of simracing. I simply dropped the max steering angle and lowered the camber a bit. That's it. No screwing around with any other settings It turned, braked and drove exactly as I'd expect. No 'funky' loss of grip at low speed. No canned spins. It's an absolute 'home-run' from ISI....it's also my new favorite car to drive. This is a reset.
Here: My Documents/rFactor2/UserData/player/Settings/SilverstoneGPLayout.. Should add- when you are ingame & already at the track that's got an alternate hdr profile, click "Settings" & you'll see the hdr selection where you can try this out
Yea - though I think you can drop it in other tracks in the "Settings" folder even though it's called "Silverstone.." & it will do the same thing - or similar
